samphex: tapland.com/forums/I've seen it around there a lot. Opera mini was one of the many, you're just going to have to see which ones work with your device though. edit: YES!!! Commander Keen 1,2 & 3 work!!! Although they are very slow. I'll test 4, 5, and 6 later on and post on how they work ;D This looks promising. Once again, I need to edit my signature. . . ho hum. . .

I can't remember where I saw it, but there was one there [for palm os devices] I thought.
Commander Keen 4, 5, & 6 crash after the loading screen. My Zire (clocked at 585mhz) seems a lot faster than my Zod though. . . Is utilizing the graphics card planned for future versions?
Cool new avatar btw samphex

When I change the screen update stuff I will also use the Zodiac blitter. But 200MHz aren't that much...

Well, early MS DOS machines ran on 4MHz processors with no GPU and 2MB RAM, so a 200MHz proc with a GPU should be able to handle it to some degree....

Actually, It's emulating PSX faster than DOS.

Yeah, the current state of DosBox is really un-optimized for Palm. I believe that's what Metaview is referring to with the screen update stuff.
Once we get it ironed out, we should be able to get some of the VERY old DOS games to run faster than PSX.

Was ScummVM only for King's Quest 1-3? I haven't checked it yet. . . And I realized that DOSbox4palm was unoptimized, being it's metaview's* first release. The PPC version is actually pretty nice, but it crashes on Commander Keen 1 right away. It's icon is kind of awkward too. . . But I can understand that it's not a big priority.

Yes, ScummVM can handle KQ1-3. FreeSCI (see that thread) can run 4-6, but there's no Palm port yet. The FreeSCI devs aren't interested in doing it, Tinnus has hinted at looking at porting it, but nothing's been done as of yet.

I figured the new SCI1.1 (or whatever the newly supported version is) code is still too experimental

Oh. So it is possible but it isn't done yet since no one wants to do it right now?

Oh. So it is possible but it isn't done yet since no one wants to do it right now? Nobody ever said they didn't want to do it, I'm sure they're just busy. Tinnus with his LJ? project and Metaview with PalmDosbox and such. The key here is time, and I'm sure if we just wait long enough, the programs like freeSCI and clonekeen will come. . .

Yes. It all basically comes down to we (and you) wanting either one project done at a time, or several half-@$$ed ones at the same time.
I want LJX to come out perfect, and that's gonna take more time than I'm willing to live if I get involved with too many stuff ;D
(not to mention I'm still involved in a number of other projects, like psx4all)
