That was going to be the cover for the word file I had started, but for some reasons, I decided to convert what I had into a script, and make it into a video. Will I ever make the word file public? <_< Maybe, but the videos aren't as hard, due to the fact that I don't need to take a billion pictures of everything I do. Recently, I've had a lot of time on my hands. So I've been able to do a LOT of work on ljp for dummies. What kind of work? Well, just getting footage of me copying the .zem files onto my sd card, and of me launching ljp. Sadly, I haven't done audio yet, but I assure you, when it is captured, it will be made in high quality. The video has been captured, and it is rather nice quality.
But why open this thread today? I know it's bad to open a thread with nothing to show you. (well, almost nothing)But I started it just to discuss it. Ideas such as what to explain in episodes, the wiki, and posting on the forum. My new work will be on the next few episodes AND on a new intro, due to the fact that I rushed the current one. My new Intro will hopefully be in 3d, although there's no guarantee on that. My episodes are as follows: (The ideas of the episodes will be replaced with the links for them as I finish them) Episode 1: -Basic Installation- Where the newest of new can copy exactly as I do and learn the extreme basics. It even tells you where /PALM/Programs/Ljp/etc. . . is. Episode 1 link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_yUcqFGyRQEpisode 2: A short episode on where you can get roms, (legally), and what some of the legalities are -under construction- Episode 3: -Wiimote- And lots of it! Episode 4: The video modes of snes, and audio config of gens. Episode 5: -Wide screen problems- The answer to what that "Wrong display mode" thing is. Episode 6: -Overclocking- That title says it all. Episode 7: The Out of memory death screen. Episode 8: -Multiadaptor- ir keyboard setup, and bt gamepad setup. Episode 9: -Game formats- Smc, bin, sms, gg, etc. . . Episode 10: -Updates- Replacing the files. There are more, but I'm pretty tired right now, and can't think of them. I'll get the 1st video up ASAP. Audio doesn't take me long.
Should this be stickied once the 1st episode gets done? Thanks for your ideas/comments.

can you add how to update ljp when an update is available. Yeah, of course! Thanks for asking, because there's no way I would have thought of that. ;D

Great work! In my opinion this thread should be stickied. I think every Palm / LJP or Both newbie will love you for this video. Please move the "Wiimote setup" to episode XXX .

I don't really know why, but that made me laugh. Great work! In my opinion this thread should be stickied. I think every Palm / LJP or Both newbie will love you for this video. Please move the "Wiimote setup" to episode XXX . I think only the great one (*cough tinnus cough*) can sticky this now. Correct me if I'm wrong. I decided wiimote will get it's own video altogether, because it's just that complicated. (Not really, but it does take a while) Maybe it will be episode 3 because the wiimote seems to be a pretty popular subject nowadays. . . Edit: the wiimote will be episode 3 because I don't have a wireless keyboard/bt gamepad yet.

Hm, maybe I should have that stickied. BTW Metaview should also be a moderator, but since I'm not an Admin...

We're not hackers, we're programmers with insights on how to make things better with modifications. I'm sure we could just contact proboards too, if we showed them that the old mods hadn't posted in a few years.

Have you ever even changed that Tinnus? ;D It says "LJP Hacker", this qualifies me as able to hack into LJP's code, not proboards

I wonder if Dmitry could patch an accelerometer into a TX or Lifedrive.... Actually, an accelerometer in a sync connector nub would actually work! Then we could play Kirby pinball and other GBC games that depend on such a device, as well as use Palms to replace Wiimotes

Hey guys, I finally busted out my TX again after becoming increasingly bored at my work (magazine kiosk). After playing a bit and getting annoyed at some of the issues I was having, I upgraded to the wiimote 1.2 version, excited to try out the wiimote when I got home.
However, after I synched the wiimote, I could assign the keys but everytime I'd try to launch a game, it would synch again (the LEDs were even lit up the way I customized them) but the keys would be unresponsive. The on board keys still worked as mentioned in some thread on here. Also, I though the nunchuck would work but I guess I'm mistaken?
I would VERY MUCH like a guide (even a quick typed up one) about setting up the wiimote, because I don't want to have to wait for the video :C
I'm also having some sound problems with some games. In FF3, I can play sound if I have it enabled from a reset, but if I load a state, the sound goes away :[
My warpspeed trial ended, but I was wondering if it's worth it to buy it for 10.95 or w/e. I do haave screen whine and with sound it skips a good deal of frames, but otherwise msot games run fine.
Pleeeeease help me get the wiimote working D: It would be totally awesome to show that off at work xD

No nunchuck. If you Save a Save state with sound OFF in SNES, you cant put sound back on when you load it. This is because the sound coproccessor is out of sync. Instead, save it in the ingame save and load that file with sound. If the wiimote shows the LEDS, the something is wrong there . Metaview, Lukas, or someone else is more knoweldgeable there...

Help! I have a treo 700w. I have the ljp folder, both zipped and unzipped. I can see ljp.prc, but I can't get my treo to hotsync so quick install does me no good. activesync works, so the files make it to the device, but the device just sees them as unrecognized files...

If you watch the video you'll notice I never used hotsync or activesync, just copy the prc from your memory card to your device using filez. edit: LJP is for PALM OS, NOT WINDOWS MOBILE!!! READ THE README!!!!

K, here's my problem. My memory card slot went out on my treo 650. I can't get it to work at all, so I cannot use my sd card to hold my roms.
Is there any way for me to hotsync the roms onto my palm to work on LJP???

...or I guess I should ask is there anyway for me to be able to run LJP w/o an operational memory card slot???
