From: Shenlong master | Posted: 9/27/2005 12:43:36 PM | Message Detail I had just got my psp, and lo and behold, it turned out to be a 1.51, that was kinda discouraging, but whatever. since I cant do the homebrew thing now, it got me thinking, would taking a page from the xbox modding playbook work for us? What I speak of is this, with the xbox (as many of you may know) you can do a mod (called a soft mod) that is relatively easy to do. The requirements are that you get a game(either mechassault or agent under fire) that has a weird back door in it (not sure what its called, if someone who knows could elaborate, id be thankful) to load a hacked game save that has a dashboard in it. theres a few more steps after that to complete the mod, but this is as much as im concerned with. What i wanna know, is if itd be possible to create a hacked psp game save that could be used to run the different types of homebrew utilities? (emulators, homebrew games, etc). I dont know very much about programming, if anything at all. this was just an idea that popped into my head about 2 hours ago. anyones replies would be appreciated.
does anyone think this could actually work?

PSP 2.0 was just "cracked" for homebrew.

i heard about that too, but isnt this an alternative? i just heard from my friend they have an exploit on wipeout fusion that allows you to run an internet browser through a hacked game save. so basically, an emulator would work fine too wouldnt it? i mean, the psp cant stop a game save from doing what its been programed to do... im pretty sure itd be good enough to withstand other fimware upgrades too
