Hey..I am a noobie! So..I have the original cds of Duke Nukem 3D, Duke Nukem The Apocalypse, Quake, Doom, Hexen.. How I install ZQuakeZ, ZHexen and ZDoom on my LifeDrive? Where do I put the WAD files? How can I play them? Sorry to bother you guys, but if someone has patience to explain to a noobie all the steps to run these games, I'll be pleased..In other words, I'd like a full tutorial! Thx!

You have the .wad file on your desktop? From the original Doom game (I or II)? Next you need would be a card reader. You copy the file with the extension .wad to the SD-Card, the directory is /PALM/Programs/ZDoomZ/. Here should be already the zdoomz.zdk file. As I see, yu have a lifedrive, which has also the internal HD. You might try to coyp the files also fro mthe external card to the internal HD. It might be that the apps are looking there for the .wad files. Check it out.

The problem is I have been reading that UMHD will crash your Tungsten E2 forever and you will have to trade in for a new one. Also, I was wondering if you know that for sure or have had anyone that you know that has success of anyof the games on a tungsten E2. But cool thank you for designing the systems to handle palying doom and etc. Also is there anyone who has an idea of how maybe to get it to run on a Tungsten E2. I have also read the other Threads in this forum but i still don't understand why I need to have a UMHd if other people got it to run on a E and E2 just a little puzzled?

1. the amount of free dynamic memory might be smaller, because of background apps or custom launchers 2. the latest UDMH (5.3 as far as I know) does run well on TX and other NVFS devices. I would believe it does the same on a TE2. 3. Again, pick up the latest ZDoomZ from my site. Try it again, maybe it works. Take care to do a softreset just before you start it to free dynamic memory and DBCache to the max. Stop 3rd party apps, especially stuff like ZLauncher. You might need to wait some time during startup, do it, wait. When you see a white message box in the middle of the screen, tap the screen. Messages on the upper left, are for information purpose and can be just ignored. 4. The TE is very different from the TE2.
