Well here is my problem. I have been trying to get zdoomz to work on my treo 650 since this morning (6 hours ago) I dont understand whats wrong. At first i found this application it was on some website with zquake and zhexen all around version 1.2 or so. That didnt work at all. Then i came across this website got all the updated apps. I installed Zdoom new version 2.0, then copied the zdx file over to correct dir with card reader, then got doom 1 shareware wad file and placed in same spot. The wad shows up fine. I clicked launch said i forgot to set controls. So i went into controls set a couple same as they were to begin with then clicked launch again. First thing i got was a bunch of memory problems but i had read on here to click through. So i did. Then i get to Starting Music... and at the top it says No instrument mapped to drum set 0 and that is as far as it ever goes. I tried installing Timidity. I installed the PRC, i copied timidity.zip to palm/programs/timidity/timidity.zip and when i click on timidity installer is says "install timidity". I click install and the Treo resets, no apparent effect and the game still doesnt run. I would be utterly flattered if i could get these awesome ports to run on my Treo i own all these games if i can find them all and get the original wad files but i wanted to try the demo wad first since im not at home right now I also got UDMH which installed ok, and it gets rid of my error messages, but it still stalls at starting music, can the music somehow be disabled Any and all help would be appreciated i read a bunch of treo threads but nothing seems to be working past the "starting music" message. Please advise, thank you in advance.

Music: disable inside the game launcher in "options" _or_ install the timidity instruments. Use the card reader and install the content of www.metaviewsoft.de/instruments.zip to /PALM/Programs/Timditiy/ Regards Henk PS: it should run without UDMH.

It probably would run without UDMH but it always died at the starting music part. I just put UDMH in to get rid of the memory error messages. I am downloading your zip file now. I will wipe out the timidity.zip and put the instruments.zip contents into the timidity folder and cross my fingers Ill Post back in a few Thanks for the speedy response

First attempt made it to starting music, but i was able to still hit the action key a few more times. Here is what it says.
When i unzipped the contents of instruments into the Palm/Programs/Timidity/ folder it allowed me to hit the button a few more time, but it kept saying ram 80/54 ram 46/28 ram etc and the numbers got lower each time i hit the action button then it said out of memory fopen.
Once i disable music it works beautifully. Would be nice to have it though. Any ideas on why the music is failing even with Timidity installed?

I guess out-of-memory. What are the memory numbers in the game-launcher? What did you entered in UDMH?

I guess out-of-memory. What are the memory numbers in the game-launcher? What did you entered in UDMH? Let me try it again and see what it says exactly. Sorry about the delay in response, been addicted to Ogre Battle which i was playing on LJP Great RPG. Upon trying it again...it works fine now. How odd. I havent changed anything memory wise and UDMH i left on blank to autoset. It just didnt work before. The only difference is i bought UDMH a week ago and now its registered where it wasnt before. Thanks for the responses, now i can even have the music. Who woulda thought a game that used to take up my 8 meg hard drive on the old 386 would fit onto a cell phone 10 years later. I got Doom 2 running on it as well, with music, runs great.
