Hearing mp3, deleting Savestate & Roms would be the sh*t. I thought went I bought my psp that u can hear music & play games at the same time but u can't. Yoyo said "to add mp3 playback isn't hard since I already implemented it in neocdpsp. I'll give it a try when I've time" shoot that feature would be the best feature PERIOD. I just got to get a 2GB Memory Stick. If anyone selling 1 tell me.

This emulator keeps getting better and better, its even Fanjita's (Eboot Loader creator) favourite emulator, keep it up T, Y, and L.

" keep it up T, Y, and L."
hahaaaa....that reminds me of Y,R,P from FinalFantasy X-2 in the opening cut-scen, on that note, FFX-2 suck by the way, the story line suck as well as the new fighting system. FFX was X-times better.

Suggested improvement for the emulator: #1.) Game Genie & Pro Actio Replay #2.) Rewind rom function (like from zsnes) #3.) SPEED!! #4.) An automated taco despenser

from yoyofr himself (found in the wip topic).
" regarding the christmas release, I fear I won't have time to finish it.... but I'll try to have a 'preview' version ready. right now, the sound mixing is working when done by the media engine, but there's annoying technical issues with caches syncronization. It leads to some noise in the sound."
i guessed it, no christmas for psp that wants the next release of snes9xTYL... bohoho....

Yoyo instead of the ROM having to be a zip file make it be a WinRar file. WinRar file (.rar) are better than .zip file because Rar files are compress more smaller than zip file. An example is:
In "Super Mario All-Stars & Super Mario World" :
SMC file: Size is 3.00 MB WinZip file: Size is 1.57 MB WinRar file: Size is 1.12 MB
Yoyo if you can make WinRar files to play on SnesTYL my 32 MB memory stick would have a lot of space & more games will fix. This feature support would be a great.

Thats a good idea too. Do you also select compression -> best? I got super mario all stars down to 500kb, and super mario world down to 300kb.

RAR isn't a public format. (It's open source, but the lisence says you can't use the source to reverse engineer the compression system to use in any other project) Also, IIRC, it uses alot more resources to decompress.

I hope to support cab archive. 7-zip is supported and its license is GPL/LGPL. So I think that if you make cab.prx, you don't worry about the license.
#Sorry for my poor English.

two features would be sweet, a txt reader (to read walkthroughs while playing a game) and WiFi multiplayer.

WiFi multiplayer is unlikely to work. The initial tests were not promising enough to get Yoyo intersted. The best feature ever to add would be FULL SPEED MARIO RPG!!!!

craig588 Are you really sure WinRar files won't work & blackmage987 Quote: "Thats a good idea too. Do you also select compression -> best? I got super Mario all stars down to 500KB, and super Mario world down to 300KB." How did you do that? I try to fixer it out myself but I don't know how to compress to that level.

Ya all know the more you tell T,Y & L to put more features the longer the new release would occur

Not really, the more suggestions we make, the longer it will take for version 4 to come out. Version 3 will be released with the features they announced, it is likely they will include nothing more for the time.

Not sure if this was already talked about, but using the joystick to implement the mouse for games like Mario Paint . Another would be the speed esp. on Super Mario RPG and Star Fox ... ? Everything else seems to be really good though! I'm excited! ;D

I'm certian they could work, the emulator would just become illegal if they were implimented by using the WinRAR source. It's not worth anyones time to reverse engineer the compression system.

Ya, and we don't want snes TYL shut down, its better to just stick with regular .zip, besides, its not a huge difference in compression.

Anyway my most wanted feature are:
1. 100% SPEED on all games or just Mario RPG, most RPG games & Star Fox (I could live with that) 2. Deleting Save-states Option (in Snes9xTYL menu) 3. Deleting Roms Option (Read 2) 4. Cheat Option (Game Genie & Pro Action Replay) 5. Text Reader (to read walkthroughs while playing a game) 6. Oh I almost forgot mp3 Playback (Yoyo said "to add mp3 playback isn't hard since I already implemented it in neocdpsp. I'll give it a try when I've time")
Which one would be easier to make quickly for the next releases?

Number one will never, ever happen on the PSP untill someone takes it past 333MHz. A 22MHz 65c816 is just too much. How many times do I need to repeat myself?

Never enough times craig588, never enough...
Well, there was supposed to be a mod-chip which would had a small processor, so you could clock the PSP over 333 using it. I think it was fake though.

Would u WANT to overclock a SONY cpu??? think about it, Sony dont make very good quality electronics, there car audio is amoung some of the worst, i wouldnt risk overclocking a song chip, especially without some sought of cooling thingy. + why? its not necessary. the psp has plenty of power, the homebrew (including this snes emu) jsut has to be written for it properly, atm the SNES9xTYL is still basically in x86 script, but making a emu from scratch for psp will never happen and would take yrs. It too snes9x and zsnes(vr.1.36) about 3yrs to make a good stable vr that plays all* games, and thats with almost unlimited cpu and gfx power.

Arent you the one who said you could shrink the memory used by TYL to like 8 megs? If you could do that, surely you could improve performance a little further!
