Rapid and autofire is a great idea, that is how you make kick ass money in chrono trigger early off

i've downloaded that crappy video on the home page and watched it....i was like "WOW." i can't even wait for the next release just to kick my bro's a** in street fighter or some old fashsion tetris attack. i'm still hoping for game ginie support. either way there's going to be some a$$ kicking in street fighter.

The new multiplayer video is very exciting. Multiplayer never SEEMED like a big deal to me but seeing it work so smooth and at 60FPS changes my mind entirely.
Phenomenal work YoYo & Team

Is it possible to clean up the PSP accel rendering? That has been a huge speed increase when I can use it solely. That would kick butt - TO THE MAX!

Post by yoyofr on Feb 21, 2006 11:52:11 GMT 1
what do you mean ? psp accel rendering cannot emulate some special snes gfx mode (mode 7, offset mode), that's why using it is sometimes really faster than "psp accel + soft. acu/approx" but the drawback is you lose some gfx...

i made a thread before, but since it looks like yoyofr is in here. id like to request a text viewer...if it can be coded fast and wouldnt be a problem. a place where you can put FAQs/Walkthroughs without having to exit the emu.

Not that talking about running ISOs will get you anywhere good

It might be useful to implement an optional quicksave feature used by a combination of user set keypresses (i.e. R + analogue left = quicksave state, L + something = quickload state). Anyone else like the idea or just think it is unnecessary?

I like the idea of a quicksave option but it needs to be very obscure. If not, odds are I will lose a nice save state by accident.

I suggest implementing the RIN style save states. Its simply a matter of key combinations, and the menu allows you to change the key comb. to anything you want for quicksaves. I use R+Start for save and R+ Select for load. Gotta love it.

Now here's a fun suggestion, how about letting us replace the SnesAdvance data to keep our speed hacks updated?

Mentioned this in another thread, and I was told to post here where it belongs.
There is a very handy gamma correction setting in TYL, and I was wondering whether it would be possible to implement a luminosity correction setting as well. This is mainly to counter the ghosting of the PSP LCD screen without producing a washed-out effect. It's already been used very effectively in the Malloc modification of the PSP Media Player.

For all of you people asking for a CHEAT option... dude.. you can basically cheat every game.. that is what i do... you just save before you do anything and then see the results and reload.. for instance.. caesar's palace... you go to a roulette table... save it... see the result... then load and bet ALL of your money on that number.. on super mario rpg.. when u do that double ur exp yoshi thingy... just save it and then find the correct one and reload... works with other more "RANDOM" things too.. u just save/load/save/load.. and so on.. granted it takes more time... but to implement a cheat system would take TYL more time... so just use the save/load cheat.. its one of the best and doesnt' REALLY feel like cheating too...

IMO, if its as stable as you can get, just add wireless functionality for use with Brown ale and it would be perfect
..oh,and how about removing the low battery safe guard?
|
|
|
Post by corona on Mar 6, 2006 0:07:16 GMT 1
That safe guard is there to prevent memory stick corruption. It is a necissary function and should not be taken away.

It has been said that the next version (0.4) will have game genie cheats implemented.

well, then make an option to disable it and let the person's fault for letting the battery go dead. The battery light flashes for a reason, and besides, I think its glitchy, I let it charge up for an hour and it still disables saving, I havent been able to save anything.
