i wish the issue with low res devices was fixed as well... i hope its not too much to ask for a low res menu so i can exit for my treo Yeah. Changing the code so that the OSD is drawn based on screen resolution and not hardcoded resolution shouldn't be hard. I've looked at the code and I could probably fix it in 30-45 minutes if I had CodeWarrior to recompile my changes. yoyo could most likely change it in less than half the time since he's a more experienced coder and knows the code. I would change it myself if I could. But even the student version of CodeWarrior for PalmOS ($150) is out of my price range just for fixing one app.

Let's see, I might do that. Making the menu work on low-res, I mean.

Tried .9 on my Zire72. The scalers work without the smoothing on and all of the available modules work.
A problem I am having though is when I am in a game if I go to the OSD and tap any of the buttons the font size increases for the text on all the buttons. From here I can do two things.
The first is if I keep clicking buttons the OSD gets all messed up. You can go back to the game though and play. When you go to the launcher though I get the following message: Fatal Alert MemoryMgr.c,Line:3757, Invalid chunk ptr
The second thing is if I go back to the LJP launcher in stead of clicking buttons it shows the LJP launcher with the names of the games in the bigger font size. If I then tap the home button to exit LJP I get the following error: Fatal Alert Window.c,Line:2089,can't change depth when draw state pushed
I then have to reset my palm. If I don't mess with the settings using the OSD everything works fine.

Probably a memory leak got lost somewhere inside the OSD code because of the battery/clock indicators.
I hate memory leaks ;D

I've been doing some additional "testing". In another thread someone mentioned that Zire72s can't play Snes Roms that are more than 4 mb (they run but if you try to save it crashes.) It is still having the same problem in version .9 of LJP. I'll have to see if I can find a previous version that doesn't have this problem.

Well all these bugs just make it annoying, thus I'm better of with 0.8, even though in .9 you can avoid the bugs by adjusting settings through the launcher and not when a rom is loaded, there is still is the issue of SNES buttons... I could just put .9 on top of .8, but I appear to have a bigger problem now...
Anyways, I'm new here so I thought I'd introduce myself and say I really love this product. Well... 0.9... you know the story. Anyways, I have an issue I'll post in a new thread within this LJP forum where it will be more relevant, but I thought I'd just reply to this thread for starters since I did have issues with 0.9 as well...

Many thanks to Yoyo for the continued development of this amazing software.
I just thought I'd add to this thread the current status of LJP on the TH55--no UDMH or hacks--using the Sony GC10 game controller.
As they are already well documented in this forum I suppose I should just mention that I experienced the same memory leak with the OSD and the SNES button assignment bug.
NES: Runs perfectly with sound at a frameskip of 1 or 2.
SNES: Auto frameskip is able to keep most games running at about 60 fps with sound off. Some of the more hardware intensive games (such as Street Fighter Alpha 2) average only about 50 fps and drop sometimes as low as 35.
Genesis: Games that don't require the ZX80 toggle run easily at full speed w/o sound. Although games like sonic require low frame skip to run at full speed, sound processing slows them down to the point at which they are unplayable. Games that do require the ZX80 toggle usually run (with sound in sim mode) at between 45 and 60 fps with auto frameskip enabled.
GB: This one is a puzzle to me and I've found nothing on the forums addressing the issue. I suppose it may have something to do with th55's handheld engine processor. Most gameboy color games run at between 20 and 40 frames per second with maximum frame skip, sound disabled, and no smoothing. It just seems strange that it runs so much more slowly than the SNES emulator. B&W GB games run fine with sound and a low frameskip.
Anyway, hope this information is helpful if somewhat late in the day.
Edit: I just wanted to add how incredible I think it that the measly 123 MHz processor in my CLIE is able to run all of these games. WOW!
