Can someone tell me what a co-prosessor is? And why games using it cannot be optimized? And finally me version of the emulator is faster than the standard version?

Game are usually rom cartridge but sometime they put more chip inside. These special chip are called "coprocessor". Most of the time, they are specialized into special task but are even more powerfull than the main processor.
So the PSP must emulate all the chip from the Snes + chip inside the cartridge, which is simply too much for the PSP power.
While some tuning MAY BE possible, it would require a whole rewrite of the coprocessor emulation, and would only benefit a few games. So this is something we dont focus on for the moment...
For the ME version, it is faster because we use 2 CPU inside the PSP instead of only one. This ME stuff is only possible with 1.0 and 1.5 firmware of the PSP.
