I'll try to hit anything you guys post. Keep in mind that some games will break with speed hacks, some can't be speed hacked, some will get a very small improvement, and some will get something signifigant.

Have a shot at Super Mario RPG, as it's still unplayable. Although there's a 99% chance it'll probably remain that way

OK, I have some kind of a SPECIAL request then This might help EVERYONE to get more speed in general - make speed hacks for EUROPEAN (PAL) versions of games Especially Donkey Kong Country PAL! For some stupid reasons NOONE seems to notice that PAL games are virtually the SAME (in most cases) as NTSC games but only need 50 FPS to feel "right". Instead of using for example a PAL rom of let´s say "Demon´s Crest" (also english), people rather try the 60 hz US version and only include a speed hack for that. WHY? As it is now - Demon´s Crest has no speed hack for the european version and I am yet to play far enough to see if the us-hack will bring something (I hacked the .dat and made an entry for the pal game with the same hack as the us-version since i am new to speed hacks, but I doubt this will help..) A game that DOES work with the same hack as the US-Version is "Secret of Mana". Try it, without the hack you have to use 2 frameskip of more to make it run clean, with the SAME speedhack for the PAL version you nearly don´t need frameskip at all It´s like 50/50 all the time BY THE WAY: I tried nearly HALF of the games in the original that with their PAL counterpart and added the hacks from the US version (just looking what crc the PAL games have and making an entry in the .dat with the US hack) This does ONLY work for the following TWO games so far (OTHERS HAVE ERRORS OR WON`T EVEN START!!): Super Probotector (PAL version of Contra III) and Secret of Mana.

You can create your own speedhacks automatically through the tools provided by the snesadvance team.
However, automatic tools often produce flawed speedhacks. The only way to get "good" speedhacks is to manually to it.

Breath Of Fire II (!) (U) would be nice since standard 4.1 for me is extremely slow and I cant even get past 30 fps.

I'm not going to bother with anything with special chips because I don't know how they work and they probably wont be playable anyways. I'll see what I can do with Breath of Fire 2.

www.snesadvance.org/files/satools_v6_(2005-01-13).zipI'm pretty sure he is using that to generate these automatically. You can do it yourself. However note that speedhacks generated automatically often produce bugs. And i am sure that his speedhacks are no different, because i am sure he is using an automatic tool, because nobody would spend the actual time to manually create speedhacks as that would take far too long for anyone but an emulator developer to care about.

Yeah I'll use that tool to start because it saves time. Do you have any idea how easy it is to speed hack something? Follow the guides and try it, you'll be a pro at doing it with the advanced methods in an hour.
I know most people arn't that ambitious though.

Chrono Trigger runs just fine with PSP + Approx, all hacks on, and frameskip auto.

is there a way for no frame skip? frame skip always hurts my eyes as they're real sensitive and the blur is quite bothersome ><. i can't seem to figure out how to set chrono trigger to pal i was wondering if that'd help.

frameskip on a psp shouldn't hurt your eyes as it doesn't generate any radiation.. frameskip and weird framerates might do things on a CRT monitor.. and if u dont want frameskip then dont enable it (but that'll slow some games down)

hey i dont know if this is the way is should be but i noticed the speed hack dat was older and smaller than the one currently offered at the snesadvance forums. so i put the newst one in and it seems to make a difference for SD3 at least. boards.pocketheaven.com/viewtopic.php?t=3366speed hack thread

I would like to have Kirby Superstar run a bit smoother, but I think its 95% to remain at the current 28 fps.

I didn't make any headway with BOF2. I only managed to break it.
