I would like to help with speedhacking. Especially for games in my language. If someone can send me the proggie and maybe some faqs I would shortly begin with it (if i manage to understand the faq ) .

Do the roms need to match the names in the snesadvance.dat exactly for the speed hacks to work?

mariokart will stay a bit slower than the rest.. make sure if you use eloader to use eloader .96 for 333mhz

I also would love to see speed hacks for Final Fantasy III/VI (the original english release), as it will save the hassle of using frameskips on and off, especially with using the airship, due to Mode7's slowness in emulation.

Not to mention speedhacks barely help at all. They won't magically speed up any part of your game, and they won't speed up, for example, the world map of FF6. All they ever do is usually remove unnecessary loops and such. And if a speedhack already exists for a game, it's not like you could simply apply another one.
The only way to speed up emulation for those games is to switch to a better engine, use hacks to lower quality, turn off sound, buy more powerful hardware, or optimize the code more. Speedhacks won't help.

OK, I have some kind of a SPECIAL request then This might help EVERYONE to get more speed in general - make speed hacks for EUROPEAN (PAL) versions of games Ah yes. But I'm half-Japanese and I'd rather play games in Japanese (especially RPGs)! Games like Mario, however, I wouldn't mind. Not much dialogue in those so yeah, PAL (me?) version it is.

they r talkin about 2 different types of speedhacks. "normal" ones are done by snes9xtyl automatically, they want to do further hacks on their own.. which hasn't been done n this thread 's been goin on for ever n ever n ever n ever
