Yeah, the cheat compatability of the cheat options are not up to date. On the PC Snes9x, I've plugged in codes that work on it but doesn't work on the snesTYL0.4. What I'm trying to say is" can't you make the cheat device more compatible with codes like the snes 9x for the PC? Most of the cheats don't work on this new snex TYL because of this, the compatability is too low.
Btw, I'm new here. Hello. I'm a fan to your work. I have a version 2.60 PSP.

you think they make it less compatible on purpose? put in the codes and THEN load the rom, not in reverse

I know how to use them already. I just want it to be more compatable with codes since most codes don't work on this version. And the codes that don't work are the most important. Look, heres an example*note* this codes works for Snes9X for PC, but not TYL 0.4* (Star Ocean)max skill points: 7E74B9E7 7E74BA03. This works for the PC version I remind you.

I'm sure they will get round to this as soon as they can, but haven't you realised that cheat code functionality has only just been added. It has never featured in a TYL build before, patience my young padawan, be grateful that you have it at all as it ranks fairly low in the grand scheme of things......

I know that, but isn't the build based on the PC's snes9x anyway? I should have work right off the back. oh well, yoyofr, please make the cheats more compatable like the snes9x for the PC in your next TYL version.

It's not like I'm mad or anything, it's just strange that it's not compatable with most cheats. My last question wasn't answered either. Is the TYL based on the PC's snes9x?

yes it is, that's why it's weird some codes work and some does not. I'll update TYL with the latest snes9x sourcecode for the cheats part.

if you report a bug with a game cheat code, list the game, the exact code, HOW you enabled the code, did u enable the code then run the game (necessary) etc. this is a bit silly

I found a bug in the cheats code handling, that's why some codes do not work in current version (0.4.2). sometimes, the address value is swapped with the value to write to this address.... it will be fixed in next release, soon available!

Actually, I just discovered that codes beggining with 7E do not work with "Real" pro action replays but only with emulators. Yoyo, the codes work for the Snes9x emus on the PC. Mabe the build of the TYL is based off a low version Snes9x. Like you said before, just base the Snes9x TYL from the newest version of the PC's Snes9x and all the codes should be compatable.

I think I found a way to get the codes to work. Put all the codes you want into the Computer version of SNES9X and then copy and past the *.cht file into the Saves folder of the SNES9XTYL on your PSP. It worked for me with Final Fantasy 3(6).
