I very much appreciate the added SPC player, but every time I listen to it for a couple of minutes I get a BSOD informing me that my PSP has crashed. The crash only occurs when I press select to bring up another song, so I don't know if I have a faulty SPC file or if it crashes due to me having too many spc's in my music.zip file (I have 125 total). Has anybody else had this happen?

I'm using ME on a 1.50 PSP and I added even MORE SPC music files to the zip and everything works fine. I can press select to change to another sound file with no crash.

There are certain SPCs that crash it. One I have found was F-Zero's SPCs.

Download them from zophar.net. (This site doesn't have any roms so posting the link should be okay, if not I'll edit)

I must say: bonus feature or not, I know a lot of people are very appreciative of the included SPC player... as far as I know, there is no alternative SPC player for the PSP, so this is the next best thing to that...
Unless someone knows of a dedicated SPC player on the PSP that I am missing that lets you browse and choose the songs...
*edit: it seems that every single one of my Star Fox SPC's crash it without fail. Bummer. That game had one of the best soundtracks of all time.

I know someone already ported a spc player, different from the one is s9xTYL and perhaps better . I'll ask him why it seems nobody is aware of it... or perhaps someone can improve the spc playback. TYL already features lots of usefull stuff (dialog box, sound mixing support, file browser, input box, internationalizing is coming, ....) and what we miss is a playlist editor...

Right on man. Yeah, I have tried googling it, searching forums over at maxconsole and dcemu and nothing so far has yielded results. Either way though, I think a lot of people are happy to have this feature. The work you guys do with this emulator is fantastic... I can't say that enough.

This happened to me while testing StarFox SPC files. It's wierd too because the song played fine even though it went straight to the blue screen crash.

oh my gooses. I dont know if giving links to SPCs is as frowned upon as Mp3s but google is our best friend. SPCs are Snes music format. now you dont listen to converted mp3s while playing a game do you?
