have any of you developers for snesx9tyl ever thought of adding other emulators into snesx9tyl like gameboy and sega and stuff? although there are already these emulators available it would be a luxury to have them all accessible in one program. although it probably wouldn't be worth it for you guys, it's an idea for the future.

I think that Yoyo and Laxer should try a GBA emulator. with their knowlege of the media engine, they could easily pull it off.

true manias, they would also have to have the desire to make such an emu, which i doubt they do considering all of the time they have to spend on snes. it would be sweet to see them work on different systems but i am still extremely happy with this emulator. it's clearly the best on psp and makes you wonder what other great programs these guys could develop.

We can dream cant we ^_^
anyways they wouldnt have to start from scratch, the maker of psp-gba quit, and released his source and kinda left it up for grabs.
But if i had the skills, the knowledge, and the propper tools (including a nice super computer). i'd personally make a gb/gbc/gba + nes, snes and sega gen emulator combo

LJPSP isn't planned for me right now, too much work! neither is GBA : it's still sold and moreover, pretty well. I don't want to get into troubles with big N ;-) I'll probably be coding one for me, tinnus & laxer3a private use only.... just kidding

yoyofr, would it be a lot of work to take some other open source emulators and just add them into snes9xTYL without even having to create other emulators? would there be other work that you'd have to do that i don't foresee?

Tell you what, I can handle going back to the menu if I get a kick ass SNES emu, and so far they have given me the best product I can ask for. Portable SNES is about the best invention ever IMO. Keep working on this one, get the SA1, DSP1 one games playable if ever possible. forget the extra craps imo

I wouldn't mind though seeing a working game boy advanced emulator. Or even if you want to add one last finishing feature that nobody ever did to the game boy color emu. and that was ad ad hoc support. With your knowledge yoyo with ad hoc. Do you think you could ever add this feature to the RIN Game Boy color emu. That would be fun. Pokemon battles. Also I'm a huge fan of the SNES emu. kicks ass!!!

Yoyo, I personally think you can pull it off you and Lax are like the PSP homebrew kings, you brought us ad-hoc SNES, so if you can do that, I believe you CAN ANYTHING!

LJP stands for Little John Palm. It is a program that contains emulators for SNES, NES, GB/GBC, SMS, and other stuff. LJPSP does not exist but is a concept first mentioned by me, and I'll take credit for the name , on this board, even though Tinnus already was planning it. Anyway, the concept of LJPSP is that there would be several emulators for the PSP in one homebrew application.

The concept for LJR is multiplatform, for host systems and emulated systems. ...

I already have loaded up all of the sperate emu's but I guess I just want it a little bit easier and I know that there would be some special features that NesterJ, RIN, and all those other emulators don't have.
edit: Also, I KNOW of a couple of things that Tinnus would add to LJR that I am excited about.

There is stuff added in the emulators, and stuff that's only possible for each host system, like Zodiac features.
Emulated system stuff would be shared among all hosts though.
Also please note that I won't maintain LJPSP if it comes to light. It's just a possibility, but *I* couldn't do a PSP port since I don't have a PSP nor plan on getting one.
