I must say, an another absolutely excellent release by Y and L. Unfortunately, the savestate sound bug fix was only partial . Yes indeed, when I created a savestate with the 0.4.2 ME, and then immediately loaded it, I noticed some of the sound layers weren't being properly emulated. Definately a push in a great direction though! I shall now resume my endless hours of Zelda ^_^

Thanks for the update, I tested two games I had problems with before:
Rockman + Forte: Still no sound at all when loading a save state. I tried turning sound off and then back on, disabling SPC player, creating a new save state etc. but nothing worked
Do-Re-Mi Fantasy: Music and sound effects both worked when loading my save state, and the game no longer crashed when I entered a level.

Thanx for the release. But with std version and fw 2.00 (with 0.96 eloader), despite a little plus on the framerate side, many games (such as Super Puyo Puyo 2) freeze after some minutes of playing. Also, many savestates (that were fully functional withthe passage from previous versions to the 0.4.1) aren't recognized with this new 0.4.2 version. I hope that these problems will be fixed, since the possibility to exit the emu without freezing and the aumented framerate are 2 very good things!!!

yep, great bugfixed release, thanks. the sleepmode maybe isn't a "real" sleepmode, but i often switch the power/sleep-button by accident. now i can just return back into the game. so it's a very big improvement for me

Very nice release, you've got here! But I've got some annoying problems >_< There are no "beep"-sounds* in the menu and the BG-music option freezes the emulator**. Also, the emu only starts if I use the no-intro-version (otherwise there's only a white screen and the PSP freezes) I'm running the snes9xTYL 0.4.2 user version on my 2.5 PSP, using the 0.96 eloader. * yep, I've turned it on ** same problem with 0.4.1 Is it only for ME?

@ prometheus
Yes, I know. I use the standard-version, I just wanted to know, if the spc-player is only working with ME.
@ yoyofr
I Just tried 0.96, 0.97 and emenu v0.1 and it is still the same problem. But since nobody else seems to have the same problems, maybe I should try to format my MS and do a complete clean installation.

Nice emu guys, it wroks perfectly with the .96 & .97 eloader. It runs better than the TYL 03 now. I'm looking foward to your next release. I see the cheat compatability is still the same. I hope to see a change in the next one. Awesome emu

0.4.2me is a nice piece of work, no more sound issues while loading a save state..the games i play have no more problems at all, thank you guys for this amazing application! Many games still have sound problems after loading a savestate (Tales of phantasia, Zelda, secret of mana, super mario world 2 and many others for sure... Another thing i've notice is that sometimes this bug doesn't happen, and other times it does (I don't no why). It's strange because in 0.3me version I hadn't this problem. I hope TYL team can eliminate this bug. +++EDIT+++ I know now why sometimes this bug doesn't happen. Not all games work with the method explained here. If you want to play a game that doens't work even with BG music off, then you just have to play first a game that workes with this method (ex: Super Pang). Then, without exiting snes9xTYL, load the game that does not work even with BG music off, and from now on, all the savestates will have sound. I really hope TYL team can fix this. Thanks for the hard work guys. +++EDIT+++ I forgot one more thing, after the first savestate with sound is sucsseful, you can turn BG music on again, and the savestate will always have sound You can exit snes9xTYL and when you want to play again the saves will always have sound. I'm using 1.5 PSP, snes9xTYL 0.4.2me version.

Question to YoYo -
Regarding 0.4.2 ME version for 1.50 PSP's, has Sound been FULLY put over to the ME or just mostly? Or an easier way to put it would be to ask if it was possible to optimize the code any further regarding sound on ME to give even just a few more FPS increase in speed?
I am forever grateful for this amazing emulator. This is the BEST work of homebrew on 1.50 PSP's.
Thank you. I'll be donating again shortly.

This version rocks (french PSP coders aswell , thanks for your work on it. The new intro is quite funny, sNES spirited and the new GUI err (the d**n background pic is disturbing me) very pleasant to use. C'était du super boulot les gars, merci encore et bon courage pour la suite !

I really like the new version and everything works fine, but after about 10 minutes it'll quickly flash "cannot save settings" and then when I exit the emu it says that my memory stick can't be read. Now on .3 and below it works just fine, think it's just my memory stick or possibly something else? I'm using ME version by the way. Enough of my complaining though, you guys did a great job.

Got the savestate/sound bug in sunset riders sometimes too. When its happend its impossible to turn sound on (tried restart psp and set menue sound off/on). The only thing what help is delete the stat and restart the game.
Then it is possible to add more key config stuff? Like save/load on keycombo r+start or r+analog left ect.
PS: Great work^^

Thanks so much for this. Everything tried so far works brilliantly. Using ME version with 1.5 firmware and no savestate bugs here in the dozens of games I have tried. Oh and LOVE the intro

I also had the white screen issue (FW 2.6, eLoader 0.9.7 - Bock). I downloaded the version which had no startup vid and it now works fine.
Works great now - exits properly, speed seems to have increased in some games. Woo. ;D

Oh my... too bad Just formated my Memory Stick to have a perfect clean installation, but still no sound effect in the menu and the spc-feature still kills the emu. Well... I guess I can live without those features. Even without them, it's a great piece of homebrew software and definitely one of my favourites ;D

I was messing with the speed limit and frame skip. I took the speed limit off and made my frame skip 1. I was amazed, mostly all my roms ran above 60fps. Super Mario Rpg ran about 45fps. The the "TYL freezing at the into" finally happened to me, twice.
