you guys can use .97 now since Yoyo added the 300mhz processing speed.
Your problem is probably caused by the new intro sequece video that was added to the emu.

Maybe if Yoyo makes that intro external, then people using 2.6 can delete it if they want.

There has to be something that we are doing differently. Every other 2.6 is working apparently. EDIT: I removed the code for the intro (intro_anim () i suppose?), and am currently rebuilding the eboot. I'll post my results. EDIT2: Ok, It works!! This does NOT have the intro, but it works perfectly on 2.6, it is identical to the 0.4.2 build with the bug fixes(minus the intro only). rapidshare.de/files/20485226/snes9xtyl_0.4.2_minusintro.zip.htmlDon't you love it when developers release the source WITH the binary? <_< This will work on 2.6 perfectly.

im woundering now tho, since we have 2.6 and if we use eloader 9.6 we get 333mhz working, so wouldnt going to to 9.7 and using 300mhz slow things down more even with 4.2, or is it better?

it's weird the intro does not work on some 2.6 .... perhaps you've done womething wrong with your eloader setup... liquid, if you have some coding skills, perhaps you can tyr to add some debug code (for example using my msgBoxLines("xxxxx",30); ) function to find where it freezes.... ?

Hi, I have a 2.6 PSP, and I used the link that was shown above and now the emulator runs with no problem. The original one from Yoyo freezed my psp when it was loading the intro. With the rebuild one, now it runs with no problem Also, I noticed that games run even better, even if the cpu clock is in 300 mhz. Great job Yoyo.
Pura vida loco :-)

seiya use eloader .96 if u want to use 333 I already installed the 0.96 as you told me to do. Now the games run better. The problem now seems to be the audio. It runs reaaaaaaally slow compared to the game. Any idea?

After a little bit of messing around, I think i've isolated when this problem happens.
If I have no other GTA save games on my PSP other than the eloader (in slot 5) and the eloader autoloads when GTA starts, I can load v0.4.2. If I have other save games that auto load first, i.e. I have to go in the GTA game, press start, game and then load the eloader. This is when you get problems loading 0.4.2.
Could this maybe a memory issue ?
The no startup movie version of the emulator works fine even if I have got other save games...

moo, you are my personal hero ;D Looks like the GTA-saves really are the cause of all my problems. It either crashed during the intro, or - when using the no-intro-version - when I tried to play spc-files. After removing all of my GTA-saves (except the eloader of course) both features work like a charm. I guess it would also work if you use the autoload-feature of eloader, but I haven't tested that yet. Now I'm *very* happy ( although the pad-beep-thingy still doesn't work o_รด ) [EDIT] Guess it really IS a memory issue. The emulator also crashes at the intro-sequence after playing a few other homebrew-games before.

How could it be a memory issue though?
How much memory does emenu say is left? The eloader is supposed to flush the RAM of all the GTA code, so it really shouldn't be any different between loading the save first or after loading an initial save.
Get some hard numbers from the Emenu comparing both memory usages between loading GTA first with a save, and then loading eloader directly. (i can't do it right now myself)

[...]Get some hard numbers from the Emenu comparing both memory usages between loading GTA first with a save, and then loading eloader directly. That's strange... you're right! I installed emenu (I was using eloader before) and there is no memory difference. But still... it does not work when loading anything before startig snes9xTYL. I've absolutely no technical knowledge, so this might sound stupid (and probably is XD ) It seems like some games "occupy" functions the emulator would need. For example: Whenever I start LuaPlayer and exit it with L-R-Start and start snes9xTYL afterwards, the intro works fine but I get a music-engine failure (there is also no music during the intro)

DGEN 1.3-1.5 (Genesis emulator) are unstable as well, maybe for the same reason

Why on earth would you want to see THAT? just kidding ;D Have you tried the few things mentioned in this topic? Try using the standard intro version of snes9xTYL and remove all of your GTA-saves (just copy them on your HD or into another folder if you want to use them later). Eloader should boot automatically when you start GTA. It should work as long as you don't start any other homebrew before launching snes9xTYL.

you have not read everything correctly delete the dir, reinstall the intro-less version (do not dump it in the same dir) and use the 1.0 version of that
