Ok I downloaded snes9xTYL-0.4.2 Standard from Yoyofr's stuff for my PSP firmware version 2.6 using eloader 0.97, now when I extracted the .rar file there was two files that read 1.0 and 1.5 and I read somewhere that for firmware version 2.6 you have to copy the file 1.0 onto the GAME file from the PSP file, so I did that but what I got when I loaded the emulator was a white screen. I searched the web for this problem and read somewhere that I have to format my memory card, so I did that and nothing, tried the 1.5 file...same thing. Then there was some light from the heavens when someone put up a link to a .zip file that contained the snes9xTYL-0.4.2 Standard without the intro (an intro I'll probably never see in this lifetime) So I downloaded it and guess what...IT WORKS!!, but alas the real problem and this is where anyone who can help me comes in. The music for the menu doesn't play or work and neither does the logos, now do I unzip these files or leave them be, either way how do I get the music playing and the logos showing...Thanx for you time. ;D

The music and the logo-files needto be zipped, but you can add custom images or spc-filess to the zip-file if you want. (as mentioned in the ReadMe) Now, the white screen thingy has already been discussed here. So, a few things you can try: 1. remove all of your GTA-savegames, so there is only the eloader save left. 2. don't start any other homebrew before starting snes9xTYL I had the same problem, but after these steps it even works with the standard intro-version.

But then what do you do when you actually want to play GTA. Seems WAY too teduis just to be able to play SPC files at random...

Thanx for your help liquid I did what you said and now the emu works perfect except now I can't load .jpg files...how do I do that? Because when I go to view file under MISC first it says Error reading memstick Please verify it (using a PC card reader), it may be corrupted, and when I go to DATA then LOGO.Zip it crashes...Thanx for your time.

You don't load JPG files through that. Put your jpg files inside /psp/game/snes9xtyl/data/logo.zip, do not unzip it, just add files to it. To set those as the background, just go to the option "Randomize BG" and keep using it until you get the background you want. This loads files from logo.zip randomly.
The view file thing is for viewing of Text files, such as FAQS/Walkthroughs. To use that, create the directory '/psp/game/snes9xtyl/FAQS/' and then put all your .txt files in there, and you can view them through the "view file" option.
