Hi, Im having a problem with getting Super Mario Bros 3 (in Super Mario All-Stars) to work with snes9xTYL (v.0.4.2) - which otherwise is an amazing emulator When I play SMB3 the game always freeze when I enter "World 1, Level 2", so I cant get past the first level in the game. If this is a known bug of somekind, or there is a solution please let me know Im using snes9xTYL v.0.4.2 with eLoader v.0.97 on a PSP 2.0 firmware - and I've tried diffrent settings (for sound, frameskip, cpu-clockspeed etc.) I also tried diffrent Super Mario All-Stars roms and its the same problem, I even tried some of the roms on an other Snes emulator for PSP, and SMB3 worked so I could play past world1-level2 (but the gamespeed and sounds was messed up in that emulator) - so I think the problem is at least not in the roms!! I have searched for a answer in a couple of forums and havent found a solution to this... so I would appreciate any help

Actually I think I've seen this problem mentioned on other boards (along with another couple of Roms) and someone had suggested that a certain type of transparency technique was causing TYL to crash. Have you tried changing from Accelerated to Software etc and does the problem still occur? If we can pin down the exact event causing this then we can post it to the bugs thread.

Many thanks tsurumaru, you were of great help. ;D I tried diffrent settings in the " Engine" option and finally found a setting that worked. I dont know if this information is of any value for the bugs thread, but here is what I found out: The game crashed when using the Engine setting: PSP accel. + approx. soft. (which is the default setting I think) But it works just great if I turn the Engine setting to: PSP accel. + accur. soft. Thanks again for the tip, know I can finally re-enjoy SMB3
