Can't load most of the roms?

I'm with v1.5 of the firmware and 0.4.2ME of the emu. When I trie to load roms(chrono triger, final fight 3, final fantasy 3 etc.) some blue boxes appeared with message like this -" [Bad checksum] - LoROM corrupted". And then there was only black screen or sometimes some graphical artifacts like - blinking brown dashes or blinking big brown squares or sometimes brown screen. I tried do download the roms from different locations, but its the same.

And now the strangest thing at all - Just befor few secs. I decided to turn on the PSP again to check the message in the blue box and ..... Chrono Triger loads correctly . How and why? I just reastarded the console again and it loads correct .

Whats going on? I'll trie with other roms to check the situation

d**n they run only after full restart of the PSP, is this normal? Anyway this is acceptable .

that's not normal, try different versions of the roms

are you running any applications beforehand?

Try downloading those ROM's from different sources. If you wanna make sure they work, the name should have a (!) in it. Eg. "Final Fantasy III (E)(!).zip"
