FFVI question

Hey guys, long time player, first post. Question about Final Fantasy 6... i keep getting stuck at the part when you first have to use Mash's Deathblow. It just doesn't give me the time to do it, and i always end up failing. I know Yoyofr's played it (the screens on the site) and i got that same version. Just wondering if it was just me, or if it doesn't work properly. thanks in advance

You're probably inputting it wrong. I can't remember how was the command, if left, right, left; or right, left, right. Also, you mentioned Sabin as Mash, so this means you're playing a japanese version, right? Maybe the command is different in the Jap version, I don't know.

well i got the english translation from rpgone.net which i got from the screenshot on yoyofr's main page. But it doesn't give me and time to imput the command (which is left, right, left). oh well, looks like i just have to keep trying.

You *are* inputting the code when the cursor is on the character after selecting that ability (called Blitz in officla translation) yes?
(his name is Sabin in the official US release btw, which was called FF3)

It wont do jack if you try inputting the code when Sabin does his little effect.

The codes can also be viewed under the Blitz skill in the skill list.


I remember being stuck on that same portion way back in the golden SNES days, and since the internet was extremely scarce back then (hell, I didn't even have a PC), I had to rely on a friend that was farther in the game himself to assist me.

But yeah, hope that helps anyway, one of my fav. SNES games, still own the original cartridge here too, nothing like a lvl99 Locke with Offering/GenjiGlove, with 9999hp/999mp, with all magic learned, who hits 8 times per turn for 9999dmg. Took ages to level him up that high.

genxi2 has got it. Click the "Blitz" command once, then when it points to Mash, input the code then press A.
