First time i installed the eLoader and the Emulator, everything worked fine, tried out one rom (F Zero X, NOT compressed), and played it nicely, once i was tired of gaming i simply pressed L+R and quit the emulator, that resulting in a message: "unable to save settings" and psp crashing, after rebooting the psp, the eLoader still works, but everytime i try to boot up the emu psp crashes with a black screen. Tried to remove everything (formatting MS) and reinstall, worked, did the same thing. What's wrong?
PSP is a 2.0 PAL quite recently bought (this morning)

yes that's what i've been doing, formatting, redownloading rars and reinstalling everything, other emus or homebrew work just fine, so i guess it's not an eLoader issue. The MS is the 32mb that comes in with the Value Pack.

i got NO idea what's going on really, version 0.42 won't even start up, will crash no matter what right after being launched from eLoader.
i tried an older version (0.3) and didn't get relevant results either, the first time i run the emulator after format it runs ok, tried Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy V and both went ok, then i exit the emu, exit the eLoader, shut down my psp.
The next time i boot up my psp, and try to run either of the roms... nothing, screen goes black after booting up roms.
The emu works (unlike v. 0.42) but any rom will crash. d**n unluck

Yeah, on my 2.0, it opens and starts the program just fine, but no matter what (older Eloader or new) it just says 'cannot allocate memory' upon trying to load any rom, zipped or otherwise Figured I'd try to take a step up from .02c and see if anything had improved for user mode, but it looks like I'm sticking with the old version

*shrug* I like it. I like having AVC video withough installing, I like being able to run my one 2.0 game without tricking the firmware, I like being able to use the web browser without installing one myself. I like changing the BG wallpaper when I get bored of it withought trying to hack it in there with PSP customise. Mostly aestetic / lazyness reasons, but the tradeoff isn;t worth it for me to lose that for easier emulation (my -almost- sole reason for using unsigned code) - at least, not yet. I'll likely downgrade eventually once the high-end system emulators start getting playable enough. I have 2.0 specifically to have that option later (yes I know they have a DG for higher firmware now, though)
For now I was seeing if another version of SNESxTYL (above .02c) would work on 2.0, but no one seems to be able to definativly say any one of them will. - Though I'm not insensitive enough to not realise that it was designed for 1.5, and expect support for a feature you included to possibly allow it to run inuser mode, I was just looking to see if anyone could help, without the obligatory "that sucks, downgrade"
Alright, so, fine. I got off my lazy butt and researched devhook, so I'm at 1.5/2.7. Happy now? (I am XD)

i'm sticking with 2.0 since with 32mb MS i don't see any convenience in downgrading really, once i grab a decent MS i'll downgrade

I got the same problem too.. I've been playing with many ROMs for days and it's ok. As I recalled, I played Earthbound for quite long time until system said about low batt and you can not do any savings. After that, I quited SNES9XTYL and got an UNABLE TO SAVE SETTING message. My PSP crashed. I turned on and tried to load SNES9XTYL but instead that little Mario I only got blank black screen. I did hard-reset and load SNES again but failed.
I tried to re-format the MS just like darkness did, and copy fresh files but it's still dark pitch. But after tried many times (including despeately -I think it's not doing anything-but I still delete them- innocent JPG pictures) suddenly I can played SNES again. But I think the game runs more slowly now and there's always chance of pitch black screen again.
Agree with darkness. I would like to but a decent 1G or perhaps 2G MS before decided to down-grade my 2.0 system. But I can not see a clear vision whether PSP will survive another year under those poor performance against Nintendo DS, that left me with 2 choice with the money I hardly collected.. Should I buy a Giga MS or exchange my PSP for DSLite ?

two things. 1. use the introless version (search this board) and use the 1.0 version like always with eloader. 2. u might want to use eloader .96 as 333mhz is disabled in .97.
