This is a particular version because I got completely rid of the old gui thanks to the help from Radius. There are some interesting changes also, you will see... ! Thanks also as always to all the crazy testers on this site who helped me to improve this ! There

Art Of Fighting 3: Grafx, Sound FX, Music All Work
Bust-A-Move: Grafx, Sound FX, Music All Work
Fatal Fury 3: Grafx, Sound FX, Music All Work
KOF99: Grafx, Sound FX, Music All Work
Last Blade 2: Grafx, Sound FX, Music All Work
Metal Slug 2: Grafx, Sound FX, Music All Work
Real Bout Fatal Fury 2: Grafx, Sound FX work. Music sometimes does not play. Can't Find MP3 track 33. Which I don't think is correct. Track list only goes up to 15. Can some else verify this problem.
Samurai Shodown 4: Grafx, Sound FX, Music All Work, Backgrounds seem to be at the right speed also.
P.S. Great Job!

Nice work!
Your updates to neocdpsp are really welcome! (don't have much time to update it) The 2 next big things to add are savestate & aes support using latest neo4all ... Interested ?

Yoyofr : Hi, nice to have a post from you after all this time Well I don't know, neo4all does not seem to support AES, does it ? And we already have a biger compatibility list ! But it might be interesting, yes. dacura : stop talking about vsync, I ddn't try to have this thing to work, so for now the advice is still vsync off for everyone. Neo drift out : I really HATE games which stop working in a new version, especially in one like this one. Humm, I guess it will wait a bit then.

The fonts : for those of you who didn't find how to use them, just press right trigger from the main menu, and when you have chosen your font (up and down), left trigger to go back to the main menu.
Yeah I know, I should write some docs one day, but I really don't like that, so you'll have to guess a few things from time to time...

Looks great! The new gui is awsome and I guess that Snes9xTYL would also look great with a gui like that. I'd love if Pochi made some nice gfx to match the new gui color (icon, loading image and startup image). I think the gui'd also look great with a simple animation and progress bar for the loading (instead of the image) but this is just a gui thing (which is great right now ;D ) The games I play work nice (Bust-a-Move, Metal Slug 1&2 and RB Fatal Fury 2). Only hoped other emus (like RIN, NesterJ, SMS & SMS Plus) had someone still working on them with that dedication (since most still have some sprites probs, Nester has that odd vertical bar, both SMS needed a better gui with more in game options and SMS needs zip support). Anyway thanks for the dedication I'll keep checking for new versions (and waiting for TYL )

Well, just to keep you informed, there will be no 0.8.1 in a short delay because the bug for neo drift out is not easy at all to fix. In fact this game worked in 0.7.2 by pure luck since the raster interrupt was not emulated at all. It's this interrupt which makes it to freeze now, but the thing sems very picky about this interrupt, so it will probably be hard to fix, and I can't go back to 0.7.2 code ! So, patience...
For the gui, Radius had animations ideas also, but it's not so easy to do... !

Fakk2 : In your place I would edit this huge post out of this thread so that you can update it with every new version. It would be less work for you, and we would see the progression better.
For the games hanging : I am interested by the list, but there won't be any quick fix for that : in this version I played with the interrupts, which is the best way to produce very bad bugs. It worked in the games I tested, but of course I didn't test them all. So just report them and wait, or revert to 0.7.2 !

Zelurker, I edited my post to make it a bit smaller. I also added some more tested games. Nice try fixing AoF2, you did a great job so far. Many thanks. If you have taken notes on the games I have up then I can edit them even smaller I suppose. I just wanna make sure your taking the notes.

Aero Fighters 2 : I'll have to add save states so that you can send a save state in the last stage ! Or add cheat codes...
Aero Fighters 3 : fixed. This is a generic fix for the mp3s, some remains of the old way the audio tracks were detected, so it might improve some other games too (it can't make any harm anyway).
Art of Fighting : didn't see any glitch... ?!?
Art of Fighting 2 : finally fixed !
Double Dragon : didn't see the crash
And neo drift out is fixed too
By the way here are the recommended settings for playing : Render : zoom1 Frameskip : auto GFX engine : hardware Video sync : off 60fps limit : on psp clock 333 (of course !)
Comments : hardware because there are really very few games which still have hardware rendering bugs, and it's definetely faster than software mode. Just try it. frameskip auto and 60fps limit to stay as close as possible to the 60/59 fps limit, this is very important for a good gameplay.
I thought these settings were obvious, but it was a discovery for Radius, so I thought I would post them! ;-)

I have tried out samurai Spirits RPG, and it does not hang after character selection. It just loads for like 1.4 minutes first. Allthough I'd like to point out that SS RPG still is missing some sound fx during the intro and gameplay. Some sound fx work some do not. Double Dragon- must have been just a random lockup. Never crashed again (so far) and I have been testing it out for many hours now. Art of Fighting Glitch. Howcan you not see it? Watch the intro and at the end of it, you are supposed to see the AOF sign kind of stretch up and slide across the screen and then it reforms back together. It doesnt do this in the emulator , it seems to skip a part of it. Sorry testing is taking forever this time, Instead of just playing the games for 30 minutes Im now trying to get close as possible to the end of the game with the tests so it is taking awhile. I used to play Neo-Geo alot back in the day so I am still ok at the games, but certain end bosses like Mr. Karate (in AoF) still give me a tough time. List updated with baseball stars professional, BB Stars 2, Blues journey, and Breakers.

Hey you are still probably a better player than me for these games, the reason why I said we'll probably need save states if you really want to fix all these bugs... Anyway, I still have a few things to look after before this week-end !
And for the aof logo : I didn't know it was supposed to move around the screen, I don't have the original hardware to compare! ;D Well, this thing is probably harder to fix then !

updated the list again, Zelurker if you want I can make tiny MPEG4 files of the actuall NeoCDZ system running tiny parts of the games that have glitches and you can watch the videos and listen to them as well to test compare the two. You would have more accurate emulation this way. Like for example I can make MPEG files of the real AoF intro and you can see what I mean by glitching AoF sign. Then you can emulate it properly instead of just guess work. Let me know. I have Pinnicle Movie Box Deluxe and not hesitant to use it for your emulator progress.
I can also record the Intro of Samurai Spirits RPG so you can HEAR for yourself whats actually missing from the game. etc...

Well if you want to spend the time required for that, and have the space to host the videos (mpeg4 is not an obligation, you can use any avi format), then I won't say no, it would probably be helpfull yes ! If you have problems with the space to host them, just send a mail, and we'll find a solution !
