Anyone else having the same problem I am with the Gameboy emulator? Every game I launch causes the Palm to reset itself. Weird that I can play SNES games, but that the Gameboy crashes so before you ask, I'm very sure it's not a memory problem.

Tried several different GC and GBC roms? Maybe your roms are bad.

This was happening to me; I erased all the parts of LJP (from my SD card as well as from RAM), reinstalled, and the problem went away. However, I think I just needed to delete the ljp.ini file from the SD card There seem to be certain situations (still haven't figured out what they are) where it can become corrupted, resulting in a soft reset and/or an incorrect version error when running one of the emulators.

Thanks for the reply. So, where's this ini file and do I just delete it?

Alright, just deleted the ini file from the SD card. This time, it tried to start up the rom and then crashed anyway. I'm gonna play with the options a bit but do you reccomend reinstalling?

Yes, you can try reinstalling after all other remedies have failed. Be sure to remove all LJP related files from the palm's memory, and all .zip , .zem & .ini files from the Palm/Programs/LJP directory of the SD card before reinstalling. You might also want to redownload RC2.
But first, there is one more thing that may help. Delete the preferences for LJP. Use Filez (freeware) or any other app that will delete individual preferences, such as Zlauncher, Uninstall Manager, etc.

Alright, I've tried doing all the deleting and nothing's working. GB still crashes.
Guess I'll have to reinstall the whole d**n thing.

Suggest doing the manual install. The PSI installer has given problems for some people.

This still isn't working. I'm almost ready to give up. None of my GB roms work. They all cause LJP to crash. Can someone tell me what settings they're using?

In summary, you have done the following: Deleted the LJP prefs, LJP.prc file, and the LJP folder on your SD Card, Downloaded LJP*.zip, extracted the LJP.prc file and installed it, Run LJP once Copied the ZEM files into the /Palm/programs/LJP/ folder Taken your Gameboy roms, made sure they're unzipped and end in .gb .gbc or .sgb Verify that they run on a PC/Mac emulator Left them uncompressed, or zipped them with an info-zip compliant zip app (NOT gzip, 7zip, rar, or a "zip" app that doesn't adhere to the info-zip guidelines) Copied these files into the /Palm/programs/LJP/GB/ROMs/ directory on your SD card
Personally, after replacing my ljp.ini file, I couldn't do anything on my TX to NOT make my Gameboy roms work. All settings work just fine.

Hey again, Other than deleting my preferences, I've done everything you did. How do you delete preferences?

Get the app RsrcEdit at www.quartus.net/products/rsrcedit/ . It's shareware with no limitations. Hotsync RsrcEdit.prc to your palm, then launch it. Scroll down the list to "Saved Preferences", tap on it, then tap the "open" button. Scroll down the list to "LJPM 2", tap on it, then tap the palm's menu button, and finally "delete". edit: In an earlier post I recommended using Filez to delete LJP preferences. But when I looked for "LJPM" after scrolling up and down, I couldn't find it. RscrEdit organizes them in alphabetical order for easy location.

Any other ideas?

Try other games?
Anyone tried one of these 2 to confirm if they work?

I just tried Mario Land again and it works fine for me. The settings I used are Video Smoothing: AdvMAME2x Display Size: x2 Frame Skip: 0 Audio Sound: ON Freq: 44Khz

Just tested Alleyway; works fine for me, although I can't see why anyone would choose to play it (Arkanoid knockoff for original Gameboy). Make sure you use the working version though; there are 3 versions that are buggy, and one that's known to be good.

Now, this part I don't believe. I throw alleyway onto my wife's Tungsten E just for fun and it works fine. Mario didn't though.
