For some reason, anytime I enter the cathedral in Chrono Trigger, my screen goes black. And on a possibly related note, FF5 won't even run at all. Any advice? I have a brand new LifeDrive (Tungsten E2 wasn't very good) and I've done all the proper steps to optimize the LD.

That's odd as both work right for me. Are you using the letesr (RC2) version? What are your settings?

Sound off, 1.25x, transparency. I'm pretty sure I downloaded the RC2 version. Could I have some how missed that?

Hard. What abut the rest of the settings? Renderer, fast sprites, CPU core?
Usually the first thing you should try is exact renderer and/or C core and/or sound sim/on. But I think CT runs well without sound all the way...

So having the sound on actually helps? I tried setting it to c core.. didn't mess with the renderer or the fast sprites. Still nothing out of FF5.
