Well, basically RC3 is almost, almost ready. But: * Some features are only present in 1 or 2 modules (generally in NES). This is due to the top-priority LJR plan. RC3 is really just a cover-the-hole type of thing while we wait for the real stuff. COnsidering one of the key points in LJR will be the no-need of writing redundant code, it seems pointless to spend time on RC3 copying and pasting code all over * I'm having some trouble building the final ZEM files for the release. Like this: the compiler produces a LEM file, which is the uncompressed code for the modules. We then use 7-zip to zip them into the ZEM format. For some weird reason (that I'm looking into) 7-zip is giving some weird error message *

Tinnus: I would like to play around a little with the source just to see if I can learn anything... (hehe)
Just wonder how you make those .lem-files? is that a standard option in CW?

You just tell the ARM compiler to build a file (the PNO) with a LEM extension ;D

you said you didnt want to release buggy versions and make it a master peice? That would mean you would have to test the hell out of it for the minor errors. Why not release beta versions and let the gamers play it for a couple days straight and they will let you know everthing you have to fix. This will save you the trouble of finding it yourself. Just tying to help out, whatevers easier for you.

Releasing takes time. Too much time to do the amount of testing I want; I will stick with private testing for some while (I have some people to do some direct testing over MSN ) (closed group! no candidates hehe)

So I suppose asking to be on that list would be the best way to ensure that you're NOT on it. So...I won't ask .

That's a beautiful poem. I just don't think its going to convince Tinnus to release RC3 any sooner though.

From ZG:
"Well, I'm trying to do a new post to the website, but Blogger is not cooperating lately... Hehe. Basically it's near releasing, but DO EXPECT a crappy (unfinished) release. Mostly just to release something before LJR..."

No, that's not the problem. I can FTP myself It's just that... um... it's not like I press a button and magically it implements all the stuff and make the files ready for a release. I'm still to test some stuff but haven't had the time to touch my LD in 4 or 5 days. Also I'm not doing anything today 'cause I'm gonna play TR Legend ;D

Well, yiu seem to be lucky. I just got home and figured out I need to spend some hours moving some GB worth of files to another HD to free up the 10GB needed to install the game... so... Currently fixing the LJP website; next will be revamping mine... lots

I think that *** = TI99/4a. Obviously Tinnus is just listing the letters with the '*'s.

The short-term goal is complete, NES is working as a charm in all platforms. The medium goal is on its way, since I'm implementing the modules now. Just need a launcher and in-game UI Then adding more modules, which is dead easy as I found out with the NGP module--I redid a fresh port from original neopop code, didn't use anything from LJP or else. _Em: seems like he's reading the entire forum backwards and replying as he goes
