Hello, I was wondering why some of the roms listed in LJP are all uppercase and some are all lowercase? Is there anyway I can get them all to be lowercase? This is how they come up in windows explorer. Ive tried naming them again but it doesnt seem to fix it.
Regards..

Probably from different sources. Recommend using GoodWindows utility to scan and rename www.zophar.net/utilities/goodutil.htmlIt's a point-and-click one time deal, instead of renaming them all individually.

i dont understand this..
there is only one source. I put the SD card in my reader and explore using Windows Explorer, all filenames are lowercase, I put the card in the phone and start little john, some files are still lowercase, and some random ones are uppercase.

Oddities from the OS. LJP gets the file names using the OS functions, so... Anyway, I don't see a good reason to force lower-case, unless you REALLY think this is too ugly

Tinnus, Thanks for replying. Honestly my whole point of this is because im obsessive compulsive. I'm not suggesting you force lowercase (the case should be however you named the file). I just wish I knew of a way to force the OS to see them as they really are. hmm...

Yeah I understand you. Sometimes I'm obsessive with stuff as well ;D It's hard to use Palm OS being an obsessive compulsive though... hehe. (or Windows Mobile for that matter. Or Windows Desktop. Oh well )

The odd thing is I download the zipfile directly to my TX, and unzip it there... and the files are STILL a mix of upper and lowercase... but then, I'm still battling another issue on NVFS -- for some reason, the OS auto-names all my directories appropriately (capitalize first letter), EXCEPT the "programs" one, which is all lowercase. Seems to be an issue with Palm's filesystem, not with whatever host OS you're using.

Here's another oddity.
Contra is one of the ROMS in all uppercase.. I copied contra to cp.contra.nes.. then opened LJP. cp-contra.nes was all lowercase (as it should be). I then deleted CONTRA.nes and renamed cp.contra.NES to contra.nes and now its back to uppercase..
very very strange.

I figured out a fix to this: o Go into fileZ o find the uppercase file o Click Details o Change the name of the file (to anything really) o Save o Click Details again o Change the name of the file to what you want (ie: contra.nes) o Save Violla. Now everything is neat and clean.. just the way I like my treo
