LJP impervious to overclocking?

I've recently got a Treo 700p, bought myself UMDH and PXA Clocker and went to town with ZQuake and so forth.

I use PXA Clocker for ZQuake mostly, and it works great. I'm trying to use it with LJP, but it's always unaffected. I've set up the clock specifically to LJP and set it as a system default. Absolutely nothing works, like LJP stops the overclocker once an SNES game starts.

Help me out here, and yes, I've used Speedy. It reports the processor's clock correctly.

I had a similar problem, I tried to overclock my palm by changing the setting for LJP and when I run a game, it's still the same speed. I would then close the game and run speedy, noticed no difference at all.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the LJP launcher a seperate app from the emulators it launches? For most apps it'd look the same as the emulators are launched within the launcher shell, but it is really a different process. Try changing the default clockspeed, or check 'ignore quit' or whatever PXA has, and see if that makes a difference.

That being said, before I got WarpSpeed, PXA Clocker worked fine for me with RC2 on my T|X.

It should work... LJP 68k-side is still running inside the emulation, and the ARM code that does the emulation is just called via PceNativeCall.

In any case, setting a Global Speed sholuld affect it right.

Just be careful setting a global speed on your 700p...doing so hosed my system pretty bad and I needed to hard-reset to fix it. I've also noticed the lack of speed-boost when overclocking LJP though, although for the most part everything runs fine without the OC.

overclocking worked great with LJ on my Treo 650. Unfortunately the Treo 680 doesnt yet have a working overclocker so I cant test on that (((
