You should specify what palm you have when you ask for some help, it would greatly help us answering your question.
UDMH cant do anything is : - You dont have enough free space in your internal storage memory - Your memory it fragmented like hell and you did not reinstalled recently (or backup/reinstall using resco backup for example) - You dont have soft reset before launching ljp
Those are the "basical" point to pay attention to with a NVFS device.

just a quickie... but why isn't there a defrag app? couldn't it be simple to just rearrange everything rather than hard reset?

well since your TlX is a NVFS device then I would highly suggest following the guide yoyofr.proboards44.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1137774307withe the exception of the first the first step as it says. Read around a little, specially pay attention to the stickied topics. Just about every question that comes up has been asked once before as no new update has been done in a while. Just about every bug along with fixes has been found. But after reading that and following the instructions you still have questions feel free to ask.

For a storage defragmentation in the case of RAM storage, I guess.

There isn't a defrag app because you don't defrag NVRAM -- the device controller doesn't work like a hard disk does.
When people talk about defragging memory, they're talking about the Heap or the DB Cache, not solid state storage memory. All you have to do to defrag the Heap and Cache is perform a soft reset.
