little-john.net/Don't worry, I still have a backup of the original page ;D With the help of Tinnus, tgwaste, _Em and a few others I've created a new design (or rather, Tinnus did it... there isn't a whole lot left from my original design after trying to implement all his "suggestions"... feels good to be the one REQUESTING changes and not having to worry about doing it, right Tinnus? ) Anyway I've uploaded it and replaced the mainpage. Of course there are probably still some bugs remaining, but it should display fine in IE6,7 Opera9 and FireFox2. Even you're cellphone should be able to display the page, however you won't get a fancy layout like you get on the PC. If you have any problems, just let me know in this thread and don't forget to mention your OS, browser, version and resolution. Along with the new page comes some new functionality: On the left, you'll see two points titled "Docs" and "Bugs" The "Docs" section leads to a Wiki where you can read and contribute some background knowledge, for example tutorials, FAQs and so on. The "Bugs" link leads to a Bugtracker where you can report, find or read about known bugs. You'll need to register so that we know who reported what but registration is really very simple. To report an issue, search for it in "View issues" to make sure nobody has filed the same bug before, then just fill out the form under "Report issue". It's really pretty straight-forward.

I liked the old site just fine. And it wasn't me who chose the way it is now, it was me, tgwaste, _Em and a few others (basically, the active community, me included as a member of it, not a developer. If I were to say the final word, that would be "don't bother to change anything, I like the old one since well, I made it" ) (BTW, seems like you're the only one in love with gradients, although the current one feels to me like a perfect compromise between solid and gradient)

I don't mind about having the old one, but since it's been the same looking for ages I don't really want to take time to look at it anymore (except downloads I guess, no offence to you Tinnus), so I am happy with the new look

I like. I'm new, but only because I usually browse as guest. Been following LJP for quite some time. The old was good too, but I really like the new site. You're right as well, it even looks great on my PSP with built in browser.

So Hans, Are you going to detect all those PalmOS browsers so they don't crash when the PNGs load?

I've exchanged all PNGs, except for the screenshots, with GIFs so everything should work fine... also it seems like not all PalmOS browsers are vulnerable: My new UX50 handles them just fine....

P.S. I'm BTW the proud owner of a virtual server now so Tinnus, Henk if you need SVN (or anything else), just tell me

P.P.S. Just tested the page with CSS on the UX50 with NetFront 3.0... not perfect, but definately usable, so I enabled CSS for all NetFront browsers, including the PSP.
