hackndev.com/news.phpit's already working on the tungsten series and the ld with screenshots as proof. developers say that once its complete it should be able to run most regular linux apps and the only restriction would be the fact that palms have an ASM core.

You sure mean ARM and not ASM?

sorry i meant ARM cpu. it says that w/ARM not all apps will work and most will need slight optimization since most linux apps are made for the x86 cpu. btw im curious whether gp2x apps will run on garux?

Maybe. GP2X apps are made for 320x240 though.

Both GP32 and GP2x are 320x240. LD is 320x480.
Both the GP2X and the LD use ARM CPUs. The problem is that programs made for the GP2X can use GP2X-specific features and the fact of being Linux programs won't help them running on other machines.

I cannot know You'd have to ask whoever ported them how much of the GP2X they used. But it would be easier to get a version of Quake 2 for Linux! Then just compile it for ARM if that's the case.

Wow! I knew it was only a matter of time 'till Linux got ported to Palm properly I wonder if it'll work with my old Z71? Because if it involves flashing the ROM or something, I don't wanna harm my T|X... This'll make it soo much easier to make apps for Palms as well, could compile them on the Palm properly as well in all sorts of languages...
