I left my Zire 72 palm plugged into the USB port of my PC last night. I usually do that to charge it instead of taking out the power adapter. I turned off the computer later at night but forgot to unplug the palm. When I got up this morning, the palm was dead, I was unable to turn it on. I plugged in the power adapter and then turned it on, and the battery was drained. I didn't know that leaving it plugged into the USB of my PC would drain the battery if the PC was turned off. Weird!

That is weird. Do you have the Auto Off feature turned off? I know when I have my Zire72 plugged in to my computer it turns on when the computer is shut off.
Still, that sucks. I hope you didn't lose any important data.
