I have looked around, and the only place I could find that invited Beta Testing results for the LJP on Palm 0s 5 was a sticky at the top of this forum that won't let you post on
In light of this, I'll post here what I've found, and if somebody points me to a more appropriate place later, I'll gladly edit this post and move it's contents there.
First, my Rig:
Treo 650
1GB SD Card
UDMH installed but won't do clean up "because of NVFS" -- but that's a different topic
Current LJP Config:
I only currently have NES and SNES games
NES:
Video Smoothing Off
Display Size: Full.x1.25(hi+)
Frame skip: Auto
Audio Sound "On"
Freq:22khz
SNES: Same and also
Fast Sprites and Transparency Checked
Renderer:Fast
Center-Tap Menu (sorry, I don't know the official name):
When running any game on any simulator, the centertap Menu keys are difficult to select. They seem to need to be clicked up and to the right of where they show on the screen.
Quite often, when I pull the Menu up, only half of it will show, and the other half will show the game, and I can navigate the entire menu, whether I can see the buttons or not. If I select "BACK" for back to game, I can play the game normally, but with sound either missing, or garbled. If I select "back to launcher" whether I can see it or not, it will soft reset my Treo, ever time. This seems to be either a problem with the Sound, or with my UDMH software. As I cannot rule out my UDMH, I'll include it just in case.
Next some suggestions:
I would like to be able to find a definition to the Skeezix option in the Frame Skip drop bar. Whether in Help, or somewhere on that "Video" config page, would be great. I'm still lost as to what it's supposed to do.
A FPS option to turn on would be fantastic for my personal use. Not sure if it provides good feedback for you though.
Lastly, some pats on the back
I love the Launcher program. Very efficient. Being able to set your controlls before starting the game has always been a plus to me.
The Center Screen Tap Menu is a fantastic Idea, I'd love to see it work a bit better.
All games I have tried have worked with no hassle. Just plug and play.
The LJP icon is a classic!
Keep up the good work! And Let me know if I can help any further!
