Here is a summary of all requests for software to be ported to PalmOS. I'll try to keep this up to date as needed. ***Please note just because a request has been made does not mean it's being worked on or will ever be done*** Do not request software that does not have source-code available! It's your responsibility to find out where the source is located before asking for a port! Without the source it CAN NOT be ported, period.Tinnus and Metaview are the primary developers who can do this kind of thing, but if anyone else has experience porting software and would like to pick any one of these up you are free (and encouraged) to do so. Exult Ultima - homepage - source code available at site. MyUAE - Metaview's site - completed ;D - source code available. Wargus (Strategus) - homepage - source code available at site. Chip's Challenge - pageGemRB - Homepage - sourceTimidity TCPMP pluginDosBox - homepage - completed! Metaview's port. Decent - sourceCloneKeen - homepage, Source and Project filesFreeSCI - homepage - source available at site. - update: FreeSCI is being merged with ScummVM Sim City (Micropolis) - Info and sourcespsx4all (playstation emulator) - Tinnus is working on it. Super Mario War - sourceDungeons of daggorath - sourceJagged Alliance - sourceSmashGP - sourcePBA (Gameboy Advance emulator)

Add SmashGP: membres.lycos.fr/matkeupon/. Source available. ZodTTD was going to port it, but he left palm before the source was available :-(

Do you know where it came from? It looks to be a very convincing clone, unless it was released VERY recently, as the source for SimCity was only released a few months ago by EA as Micropolis. edit: Yep, clone. That was released way back in 2004-ish. This is the genuine source code to SimCity classic. For reals. EA decided to release it so SimCity could be included in the OLPC thing.

All those sound cool, but if I could just get ps1 and or GBA on my palm, I would be the happiest camper around, Chips Challenge and Wargus would be very awesome to tho.

I think any ports for Palm would be cool. PS: Should there be a rule where you can't request things in here? Where You can only list projects that have been requested in different posts?

I don't really care one way or the other - either way I'll keep the first post updated, as long as the source actually exists for the request. I'm sure one of the mods could make a more informed decision as to where we want the discussion though.
Side note - I suppose I could also link to the relevant threads here on the forums for each of those requests - that might help keep discussion in the proper place.

Yes anything we can get for palm is a plus! Yea I tryed the SimCity, It was cool, my only complaint was that it was kinda hard to click on the icons for stuff cause they were soooo tiny, but its still pretty cool

Umm...Where's PBA? Or is that not really going to be a port? That never happened. . . forget anything you have written about this. . . we were never here. . . J/K Really, we have PPSX, so why shouldn't PBA (if we can call it that) be up there?

Does anyone have a precompiled for Cygwin version of the PRC-Tools SDL version? I want to try to port stuff, but compiling GCC is beyond my ability...

The only other good name is PSP(Palm Special Player) but Sony will probably send a C/D order.

Well, they thought that the Liberty GB emulator's original name for P.OS. 3.5 wasn't taken, and it wasn't, but they still had to change the name due to copyright infringement. It was something like that if not.

Wait I'm just curious....how did crimson fire make firestorm? Did they completly make one out of scratch or did they port an open source gba emulator? If they ported an open source one and SOLD it, wouldn't that be illegal?
Edit: *GASP! PBA IS THERE! I feel so proud of myself ;D. Also put a parenthesis next to PBA and say "Gameboy Advance Emulator"

Well they claim to have written their own, and of course don't show you the source, so it would take some work to prove them wrong.
Doesn't really matter as it Firestorm doesn't work anyway.

I can with Cygwin (i have prc-tools precompiled for it now), but the SDL port needs quite a bit of setting up, and i really don't want to spend all that much time if i don't know if i can even do anything with it.

I think that the SDL had a precompiled version in it, or maybe it was just an included folder with trash in it. But hey, maybe it was precompiled. . .

ok tell me someone is working on chips challenge!!! Sorry, they're not. AFAIK. :( :( :(And I'm not developing on palm (right now) because there's a bigger, better system that works on every OS that I'm programming for right now.
