OK I would really love some help as for the life of me I can't get any SNES roms to run on my Tungsten E2. I have LJP 1.2.
I've got CleanStart, DBCacheTool and UDMH.
When I run LJP it says:
RAM: 15357k/15357k DB: 8109/7808KB
I have background sound disabled Sound OFF Tried both ASM and C, CPU Core
When I pick super mario world I get:
cannot sys_alloc 131072 Bytes. free ram : 15357/15357KB Stack use 10%
I click OK then it says Out of Memory ...
I click OK again then it goes back to LJP launcher.
I've read every post on trying to get it to run on TE2, but I must be missing something since people are saying they can still get it to run even if it's slow. Do I need to use a different ROM? I read on one of the troubleshooting sites that SMW is a 'small' ROM I can use to test if I have everything working right. Is it actually impossible or can someone please help tell me what I must be doing wrong?
Thanks.

Do you have enough memory free on your device? It may not have enough room to copy the files needed in order to play the game. That's why I used to get that error on my Z72 anyway.

I have it installed on a 512mb memory card and when I click Info I get 467.8M of 483.5M on the card and when I check my device it says 24M of 29.7M
Is there a minimum I need to have on my device like atleast 25M or something?
Thanks for the reply so far.

It is impossible to run SNES on a Tungsten E|2. There is just not enough physical RAM (not the flash storage memory that is reported as free or the memory card space) .

It is impossible to run SNES on a Tungsten E|2. There is just not enough physical RAM (not the flash storage memory that is reported as free or the memory card space) . Absolutely untrue. My E2 ran SNES games, most of the time at about 80-90% speed if I overclocked it with sound on, and near perfect speed with sound off. Here's how I did it: 1. Hit the reset button on the back of your PDA. 2. Run UDMH. 3. What you need to do is open the DB cache DA (swipe your stylus diagonally across the writing area of your Palm PDA, then select the "DA" icon that appears at the bottom of the screen) and then tap "Clear". After clearing your DB Cache, don't switch views, don't open any apps. Just go straight to LJP. A SNES ROM should load up properly, Albeit probably slow. Overclocking is another issue though. If not, try an older version of LJP. Version 1.0RC7c or 1.0RC8 both worked when I did this, though later versions seemed to demand more RAM. Remember, for optimum speed, use ASM core; C core is very, very slow. Also, if you want to overclock, PXA Clocker Lite is E|2 compatible and makes SNES games very playable.
