I have a palm tx and use the Wiimote for controlls. I now wonder if the landscape or Widescreen feature works for anyone. I have seen videos of this for the Zodiac but will it work for a Palm T/X? If it does work, will the image be widescreen and larger or will it remain a square and null the purpose. So far if I try it on my T/X I get a black screen and can hear the game in the background. I run UDMH, DBcache and memunfragment to help with speed and everything else seems to function ok.

Unfortunately Landscape (aka hires+) does not work with any device aside from the Zodiac.

After spending a lot of time with the source code, I believe the biggest issue with the 320x480 devices is misinterpretation and mis-reporting of the height, width, and pitch system variables. My T3 and Zodiac report very differently and inconsistent even when in the same orientation mode. With LJP-Lite(see my other threads), I have actually managed make the Zod work in portrait mode(In case some find it more comfortable). I have also fixed Toolbar placement and alignment issues with bot the TT3 and Zodiac(Ever notice the toolbar on the Zod is shifted to the left in LJP? Its under the playing window now:) ). Currently most of the special Zodiac display modes have been stripped out of LJP-Lite, but I really like the 4:3 mode that was available(No toolbar, and not full width, but looks proportionally more correct). I noticed that 4:3 was only available for NES and not SMS and didn't work for VCS. I've decided to try and put 4:3 back into LJP-Lite and try to make it work for all modules(Except for the square modules like GameBoy and GameGear). I'm also planning to re-insert Zodiac HW smoothing. If its not too painful, I think it would be great to allow landscape mode to work on the T3+ devices as well.

I have an update on this topic: The most useful of the landscape modes: 4by3 and stretch both utilize Zodiac Library Blitters that are implemented using the Zod's GPU so those cannot be implemented on the T|3, T|5, or T|X unfortunately

Any workarounds for this?

Not yet, we'll just have to wait and see.

Really no way to work around this unless you want to try and shoehorn an ATi GPU chip into the Palm My guess is that any software attempts at rendering these stretches would probably slow down the emulation too much...
