Autofire - Any workaround for saving the setting?

I've searched the forum, and I've learned that Autofire will always reset to OFF once you exit the game. I thought it was a bug with my LJP, but it's like it's supposed to be a feature . And there are no workarounds.

I wonder if anyone came up with a solution for this?
It's very annoying to switch it on every single time you play.

Try changing it from the launcher (not in the game). Then hit home, and go back into ljp, prefs should be saved!

I think there isn't an option to adjust Autofire except in-game.
