1.50 and below work fine with homebrew. With 1.50 you just need to use an extra folder on the memory stick to make homebrew work, but it does work fine.
1.50 really does work with homebrew, my PSP is a 1.50 and it's fine with everything I've tried; which is pretty much everything avalible because I'm a large fan of homebrew.

What you can do is install WAB's FW changer. What that does is change the firmware version NUMBER you have. It's not actually upgrading your firmware, just the number. What this does is bypass the check because the game is going to see that you "have" 1.51/1.52 or even 2.0 and therefore, if there's an update it won't apply it. Think of it as a safeguard. It's not really 1.51 etc but the games will think so. BTW, I *think* that it updates to version 1.5. I extracted the param and it shows "Upgrade 1.50". Anyways, I recommend you run that WAB firmware changer. Get it at the source www.wab.com/tools/Wab_Version_Changer_V2.rarDuring the process you'll have to connect your ac adapter as a safety precaution only since it actually changes the number in the firmware. Also, you can always change your version number back to 1.0 so you're not stuck. BTW, why haven't you upgraded to 1.5? 1.0 doesn't have much an advantage now that 1.5 has an exploit. Cheers

well, I couldnt "fool" the game, even using wab version changer the game asks to upgrade the firmware so I did and anow of course of course when I try any emulators it says "the game could not be started". It says that the version is 1.50 but is it really that or more 1.51 or higher...anyone got a similar problem? I checked on the web , but downgrading the firmware doesnt seem to be possible, right??

Why didn't you first post and then wait for a reply before you started playing? You know you could have been playing your game and had homebrew using that fool trick. But well, now you've screwed yourself and can't play homebrew or install programs. Check your system software setting and you'll see what version you have. Have fun
