I was looking through threads and saw an interesting question that was never answered. Is it possible to use Timidity as a plug-in player for any MP3 player available for Palm (eg. Ptunes or Aeroplayer). Or can it somehow be used to play raw Midi files.
Raw Midis are tiny files and make great ring/alarm tones, any way this app can be utilized somehow for this??

I don't know why Timidity hates my Zire72 so much. I couldn't get it to work for zDoom, I don't know why I thought anything else with Timidity would work for me.
Anyways, thanks for the link. I gave it a try and it began to load the midi, but then I got "Could not load instrument epiano1" and froze. Same sort of errors as with zDoom when I try Timidity.
For some reason the Zire72 won't load the instruments to play midis with Timidity. Oh well, I don't suppose anyone with a Zire72 and the ability to code wants to look into it??
Thanks anyways.

Timidity uses both storage memory and dynamic memory. If you use UDMH, you shouldn't reserve everything for dynamic, but leave some MB alone for storage memory.

Okay I tried limiting dynamic memory to 10mb. Same error with the Timidity player. I also tried enabling music on Duke3D with dynamicmemory @ 10mb. Game loads, but then freezes on "loading music", no error just the freeze.
Its got something to do with Zire72. Someone in another thread said an earlier release of Timidity worked for his Zire72. I don't suppose there's a link to earlier releases?

Kayge, you must ask yoyofr for that. I have no clue, what's up there with the Zire 72.
