I mentioned this on the mailing list yesterday but I thought I would use the message board. The only major problems I've had so far using LJP is after a couple of minutes the buttons that are set up as screen taps no longer works. Also, after a couple of minutes of playing you can't access LJP's menu so to quit a game I have to reset my palm. I would imagine the problems are related. Is anyone else having this problem? Anyways, great job with LJP yoyofr! Keep up the good work.

Well, I stumbled onto a way to keep the problem from occurring. If I plug the power adapter into my palm then I don't get the problems I mentioned earlier (Of course this doesn't solve the problem if you're on the go. ) I wonder if the Auto-off is turning off the graffiti recognition but it can't turn off the whole palm because of the emulator? Hopefully, yoyofr can figure it out when he gets a moment. Anyways, keep up the good work yoyofr! ;D

Just tried Beta 5 Nes: Double screen works (LJP actually changes it to Full 4:3.) GB/GBC: Same as Nes Snes: Could run FFII without UDMH using the C core (ASM core gives me Fatal Exception.) The frame rate got jumpy though when a dialog box would pop up. Also, when I quit to the launcher I breifly see the "Save whatever" message then I get the flowing message. Fatal Alert MemoryMgr.c, Line: 3757, Invalid chunk ptr I'll have to play with the settings more to see if I can avoid the errors. All Modules: The screen shuts off after 2 minutes if I don't disable the Auto-off.

yeah, I have had that problem too but much worse Does anyone know what to do when there is a fatal crash that requires a hard reset? I was happily playing with LJP and all the time when I would exit out of it to go to the launcher screen, there would be a fatal exception error. I had no idea why. Then I was playing secet of Mana or something and it did a fatal excetion reset and this really started a problem! My zire72 kept pulling up the find screen and doing searches when I did not even tell it to. Then it just got worse after that. I kept doing hard resets until the point where the digitizer on the screen did not work anymore and none of the buttons worked either. It only wanted to go to the hotsync sceen and stay there. I eventually had to call PalmOne and send the thing back to them for repairs. My question is why did this happen? The Zire72 was already a refurbished palm but I wonder if this application had anything to do pretty much with the death of the thing. Somebody please tell me what you think. I am getting another palm of the same model and I don't want this to happen again

That really sucks about your palm. I haven't had any major problems like what you where describing. Occasionally mine will lock up or crash and require a soft reset (once it hard reset on me but that was a previous version of LJP.) I tend to think that it was just your palm and that your new one will be all right.
To make sure I understand correctly. Did you do a hard reset (where you press the power and reset buttons at the same time) or did you do a soft reset (reset button only)? You might have had some software on your palm that got screwed up that was being loaded when your palm would reset. At any rate, I hope your new palm plays nice because LJP works well on Zire72s.

I'm using crash 5, this program traps errors and auto softreset your palm. The screen taps on mine, sometimes screen taps are not recognized so i have to multitap on my palm screen until it shows me the menu...
sometimes when i want to pause the game it doesn't pause because it seems to pause - unpause - pause - unpause so if i'm lucky and take my stylus off when it's paused.... if not i have to repit until it finally pauses (hate english...) yoyo?? do you understand spanish?

Yeah, I did the power button reset and it gave me a screen that said erase all data push up button, which I did and this did not solve the problem whatsoever, it only made it worse. Is PalmOne known for sending poor working refurbished handhelds to people? I am sure that if it happened to me, it has happened to many. I am doing an advanced exchange with them and I can only hope the one I am getting to replace the bad one will be brand new. I don't know what to think.

Well I hope your new one works better. ;D I really like my Zire72. I have had no problem with LJP b8 and my Palm Zire 72. Once when I installed b7 it blewup and erased all programs from my palm. Very strange. Now I backup couple of times a week. I have to say my Zire 72 far exceeded what I thought I could do with a Palm. Not only do I emulate games, I also watch movies on it also. Amazing device!

I'm having the same problems you mentioned when I tried Chrono Trogger and Mario RPG. I'll have to tinker with my settings when I get a chance (currently I'm in the middle of moving to a new place.)
