I was thinking about how great NeoCD works on the PSP and was wondering if any similar technology could be used to port the Sega CD over to the PSP. I realize that the Sega CD is a pretty complicated dual processor machine, but if there are any developers here I would really like to hear their opinions on the feasibility of such a project. Is it possible? It would be really great to play Sega CD games on the go.
Well, if any developers have the time please let me know your opinions on the matter. Thanks.

I strongly believe it would be too slow. Take what you already have, a Genesis emulator. Now imagine adding two CPUs, one being double the speed. And some other stuff that come with the Sega CD.
Now imagine if that would be fast...
The Neo Geo CD was a in-one machine. The Sega CD is a Genesis PLUS another almost-console. It's almost like you're emulating two machines, except they work together.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Your answer was pretty much what I had expected, but it never hurts to ask. I can get the Gens Sega Cd emulator to run at full speed on a 500mhz 64mb ram computer that I have, but that's still faster than the PSP so I guess we'll have to wait for the next iteration of the PSP for dream projects such as these. Well NeoCd is great so I'll enjoy that for now. PS. Are there any plans to port that Neo For All DC emu technology to the PSP so that cartridge based games are playable? Thanks
