When I change the screen update stuff I will also use the Zodiac blitter. But 200MHz aren't that much...

Well, early MS DOS machines ran on 4MHz processors with no GPU and 2MB RAM, so a 200MHz proc with a GPU should be able to handle it to some degree....

Yeah, the current state of DosBox is really un-optimized for Palm. I believe that's what Metaview is referring to with the screen update stuff.
Once we get it ironed out, we should be able to get some of the VERY old DOS games to run faster than PSX.

Yes, ScummVM can handle KQ1-3. FreeSCI (see that thread) can run 4-6, but there's no Palm port yet. The FreeSCI devs aren't interested in doing it, Tinnus has hinted at looking at porting it, but nothing's been done as of yet.

I figured the new SCI1.1 (or whatever the newly supported version is) code is still too experimental

Oh. So it is possible but it isn't done yet since no one wants to do it right now?

Yes. It all basically comes down to we (and you) wanting either one project done at a time, or several half-@$$ed ones at the same time.
I want LJX to come out perfect, and that's gonna take more time than I'm willing to live if I get involved with too many stuff ;D
(not to mention I'm still involved in a number of other projects, like psx4all)
