Well, sounds quite interesting! I'd volunteer up my Tungsten E (os 5.2.1) and/or Treo 90 (os 4.1).

Hello Menchi:
I've testing the spanish version and I found this (on Treo600):
- After I can manage to know where to put the *.le files, I have tried to make one and save it so I can found it... include this on your readme file... or use the standard "save your LE files on /palm/programs/le/" - The interface it's not so simple... I'm gonna talk about the save and load dialogs... let the user add the text with (in my case) the keyboard or the grafitti strokes. - When I load a song, and press the "play" button, I can't hear anything... and also I can't hear anything even in GTR mode...
I'm gonna test later on my T5 and send you my impresions...

Sorry, I forgot about that: at the current time, it saves in(and load from) the root folder, but I'll try to do the "save your LE files on /palm/programs/le/" How about something like this:( I liked the way buttons were, they looked like notes on a pentagram, but I think utility is more important after all;D) Do you hear a sound when pressing the notes?-the default volume is 0, so if you haven't changed it, you won't listen anything at all. Also try pressing the "stop" button after oppening a file and then press play. Does it play the sound?-GTR -(RTM in english version)- doen't affect playmode, but input mode, so any bugs in playing will happen in both modes.

Hehe... sorry if I make you cry about your first design... but trust me... it's more easy and friendly when you let the people use their standart character input modes, so I like the design you're showing up here...
How I suppose to increase the volume if I can't find the option on screen or menu? after a deeper shearching routine... I found it in the "Ayuda" or "Help" menu... it isn't so obvious... In most apps, "preferences" are always under "File" or "Edit" menu and not under "Help". Please chage this also.
Also, the load option would be more easy to use if you let the user select the song and not trying to remember the song name... believe me... I save a song and I have to use Resco Explorer to review the name so I can open it again in your program.

Oh, I kinda like the character input offered in lemonedit. Perhaps the form could remain the same, but the standard palm inputs could also be used? Also, I suggest adding a "cancel" button on the forms brought up by the "File" menu, for when they are selected by accident. For instance if you select "new" when you wanted to "save", then the latest progress is lost. A few more suggestions that would be helpful: - The play/pause button could return to it's original position when the "stop" button is tapped or the song is done playing.
- The tempo could show a number reflecting the beats per minute.
- The name of the song could be displayed, perhaps on the title bar after "Lemon edit".
- When using the "save as" option, if a song already exists with the name chosen, then the user could be alerted and given a chance to choose a different name.
These would be nice, but may be beyond the scope of your project: - a button could be added that would toggle a "freehand" mode where notes would not be added to the song, for when you're fishing for the right note. Then you could return to the recording mode and tap the note you want added to the song.
- a staff showing the created notes could be helpful, perhaps on a separate screen. This might also allow editing of previous notes without having to "undo" everything that came after it.
- hard button support, such as left/right to change the tone, up/down to change tempo etc.
I've discovered what might be a bug. Sometimes it becomes quieter , even as the volume control remains all the way up. Eventually the program stops playing any sounds at all. Exit and return, change the volume, load a new song, tap the notes: nothing will bring back the sound. The only thing that brings it back is waiting a minute without touching the screen. The Treo 90 has a little problem with the down arrow (silence). It plays a loud, low note instead. Overall, a well constructed program. Very stable, and does what it's supposed to. I've used other music programs, some that are so complex that they are hard to use, and some so simple you can't do much with them. Lemon edit strikes a good balance. p.s. this is all written before trying the latest version. Sorry for the long delay!

Sorry sorry , is just that we posted it almost at the same time!!! The play/pause button could return to it's original position when the "stop" button is tapped or the song is done playing.
Also, I suggest adding a "cancel" button on the forms brought up by the "File" menu, for when they are selected by accident
Forgot to write it -supported The tempo could show a number reflecting the beats per minute.
The name of the song could be displayed, perhaps on the title bar after "Lemon edit".
When using the "save as" option, if a song already exists with the name chosen, then the user could be alerted and given a chance to choose a different name.
This ones are interesting!!! maybe I'll go home and start right now! (currently on school) a staff showing the created notes could be helpful, perhaps on a separate screen. This might also allow editing of previous notes without having to "undo" everything that came after it.
Aww.. I think this would be very useful too, but ... maybe take a look at it on weekend
About that bug... if that's what I'm thinking it was, it's not there any more (hope so) if it's still in there, please tell me what you were doing just before that happened, and I'll try to solve it.
And about the "silence": I'm afraid it's this bug it's still in there, because of the way to represent silence in Lemon edit- I'll try to solve this one too.
Thanks for your report, beavis!

:)The last version is almost finished, this stuff is ready:
*The tempo could show a number reflecting the beats per minute.
*The name of the song could be displayed, perhaps on the title bar after "Lemon edit".
*When using the "save as" option, if a song already exists with the name chosen, then the user could be alerted and given a chance to choose a different name. Also when using "new" *"Fishing mode"(need to think a better name ) -you'll hear the nite, but it won't be aded to your song- *"clear all" option added to edit menu *Current state saved at exit, so now you won't lose your progress even if you exit without saving. *Fixed treo 90 problem (at least think so ) *Aded a control's help option-click a control for explanation about what it does- *Fixed the "save bug" -at least it doesn't happen for Aoi - *Fixed open->cancel bug (currently if you choose open and cancel, it deleted all current work);
+++++working on, but I don't think this will be in this realease:+++++++++
------Tried hard button support -worked fine, but got bored about it and started other things:P- ------Changing the open procedure: selecting the from a list insted of typing the name of it.... ------Working on staff view...
I'll put the file here to download tomorrow, if it works and no bugs detected this will be the first realease BTW which do you think is the best color for the name of the song and the tempo? I don't want it to be just black, so I'm thinking about green, blue, pink or red what do you think? Edit: :)There will be a delay in the final version for 2 little reasons:
1.-The link to the latest version was wrong, and therefore no one has tested it yet
and...
2.-I tried to make the code a bit more understable by writing it on separate files... but made something strange and now it doesn't work anymore and I had to delete it and restart the lastest changes from the latest backup

:)Ok, after a week of recovering everything lost , and a week of doing nothing ;D, I'm giving a try to other options, but because it has lasted foreeever, I decided to release it and continue working on this stuff for future versions .Didn't want to realease anything but a complete version, but I think it's better to let people play with the stuff it already has and update later, than making them wait forever...
Thanks to Beavis, Wantan and Chockuls for your help in testing!!!
I'll put the file on my web (and a link here) after ~8 hours, because I'm going to sleep now _-_zzz
