I have a Zire 72 and have tried NES, works well, and I tried SNES, works well, but I cannot use Gens. It keeps crashing. The error I get is Infos: Error while loading PNO
Also, I find my battery drains very fast when playing games, anybody else?

The FAQ says: "Error loading PNO" probably means too little free memory. Genesis requires A HUGE LOT of memory so you should use UDMH (I need 12MB or so of free memory for Genesis). If that still doesn't help, the FAQ tells you the last resort: defragment your storage RAM by hard-resetting.
The battery drains fast because you're pushing the CPU hard for emulation. Even faster is sound is on (uses less energy if on earphones though). And even faster if you're overclocking.

I heard about UDMH, but I don't want to pay for it. Is there anything similar that is free download?

No. But you should pay for it, it's well worth its price.

I have heard that LJP is based on GuineaPig for the genesis emulation. Why is LJP taking such a huge amount of dynamic RAM on the ZIRE 72 ? GuineaPig is working well with only 8 MB of free dynamic RAM. Will beta 0.8 correct this problem or will we have to use UDMH (and pay for it) ?

Actually the Genesis part of LJP is not based on GuineaPig. However, LJP probably will, in the future, borrow the SMS/GG and Atari 2600 modules from GuineaPig.

hmm... that's weird : I'm using a Zodiac without UDMH and after loading a genesis rom I still have a lot of free ram... So 8MB of free dynamic ram should be more than enough! Try the latest version...
