i just got my zodiac a couple days ago and ive got all of my roms installed, and im ready to start using UDMH to make SNES and such playable. but i really value my zodiac and i was just wondering if there are any dangers, or limits, etc. that may damage my zodiac when using it. for example, im avoiding overclocking at all costs as ive fried things in my past when doing so, and i know that UDMH just works your memory, but id like to be extra careful. thanks!

Previous version where kinda weird and have some overflow on the os files which could, in certain rare cases, break your handlet. As far as i know (or afaik ) it have been entirely rewritted and there is no longer these type of problems... but no hack is 100% sure.

ok. i have one more additional question then regarding it:
i was under the impression that it was free, but i read somewhere that there is a trial version/unregistered version, and a registered version. i downloaded the latest file off of palmpowerups.com, but im not sure which it is. will i have to pay eventually? or can i live with an unregistered version that doesnt have all the features or something?

You will have to pay for it. I think the unregistered version works for 10 days or something like that.

ok. so since it doesnt have a homepage, how does the payment work? do you contact him personally and pay him through paypal and he sends you the activation code?

one page on another website doesnt really count as a homepage to me but oh well.
anyways i was on there and sorry but i have a few more questions. im a little confused as to how the install works. they said on there something about defragging and resetting in order to install it. can i just install it like i do all other programs on my Zodiac as opposed to doing all of that crazy stuff?
also i have a little bit of an off topic question. (semi noob but bear with me) i ordered an sd card, but it hasnt come yet, so i already installed LJZ on the Zodiac internal memory. when i get the sd card i plan to move it there to free up some space on the Zodiac itself. if i just move the whole folder "LJZ" to the SD Card, will it still work when i click the icon? or will i have to reinstall it?

1.) Hotsync it and follow any instructions it gives you (it may ask you to click a button to reset)
2.) Yes, you can move the whole folder. You should use ljp though. From what I remember ljp > ljz, even on the Zodiac.
EDIT: You'll only need UDMH if you want to play Hexen 2.

hexen 2 is what im looking forward to using UDMH for most, but LJP works with a ZODIAC? im gonna go try that! EDIT: i installed LJP and it isnt any faster for me, so i tried to delete it, but whenever i do (using filez) it wont go away, what do i do to get it off?

While we're on the subject now, I'm having the same problem with an application called SayIt. It worked well below my expectations and also caused ljp SNES emulation to reset my Palm TX. When I tried to delete it through apps, or filez it "could not be removed".

Did you even took a look at the website ? Or did you even watched the about box of udmh ?
palmpowerups is the homepage of all the Dmtry programs, including UDMH, and a *very few* search would lead you to the board where features, problems and ideas about UDMH are talked directly to his programmer.
The payment method is kinda clear considering there is "buy now" buttons everwhere and even a dialogbox asking you to read the faq before buying. Then send you to paypal...
