sorry to come on with another complaining thread, but i got the unregistered version on my Zodiac, and i tried using it for a couple programs, but its not making a difference. its working, as in i see the number raised in the launcher of games like ZHexen2, but it doesnt make a performance difference. is this something that happens standard with the unregistered version because all of the features arent supposed to be available yet until you buy? or is there something wrong.
btw im running all programs off an SD Card, and UDMH is on my Zodiac itself (incase that makes a difference)
oh yeah and one more off topic question: if i want to put music, videos, or photos on my SD card, is there a particular folder i should put it into in order for the files to be found?

Mmmm you need to free some storage ram so UDMH can use it as dynamic one and makes the difference also, the only feature not working in unregistered version is 'activete after reset' I think ^^
Running apps from SD card makes difference sometimes and sometimes not, (life's strange : so you have to test it... the only apps I can tell wont work as expected if theyre on sd card are the ones that use 'notifications' (lets say time events), because these arnt send to apps in card. This means apps like 2playme wont work on sd but some apps that doesnt use notifications wont work on sd as well(^^u)
about the music, videos or anyfile, it matters only if the app you're gonna use needs them to be in a special folder: for example, 'Multimedia' only detects them in DCIM folder, while resco view can locate them anywhere, realplayer detects mp3 in root folder and in 'audio' and subdirectories, while TCMP (highly recommended ) can read audio, video, images (really!) from anywhere (and freeware

i have about 110mb free on the Zodiac Itself, and almost all of the SD card is unused, so it cant be that i need to free up space. so then from what im hearing, i need to install UDMH on the SD Card instead of my internal memory to get UDMH to affect the ones on my card?
lol btw question now about ZDoomZ, ZHeretic, etc. how do i get music to work? its enabled in the options so whats goin on?

Good guess, but no. Certain apps have functionality even when they're not the currently running app, and udmh is one of them. Therefore if it is on the card, it cannot carry out it's functionality when ljp is running. Remember, apps are not actually "run from the card", they are instead copied to RAM before being run, then deleted from RAM when finished running. So if it is not in RAM, then it will have no functionality when ljp is running. Music in the z-ports: first question - do you have the timidity patches installed on your card? These patches are required in order to hear the music, except in zquake which uses cd music only. These patches are available here. One of several versions can be used; I recommend the download at the bottom of the page.

By "perfomance difference" do you mean you expect a speed increase? If that's the case, you want to overclock. UDMH increases your dynamic memory, allowing you to play games that require more dynamic memory than you normally have.

no wonder hexen 2 never complained about memory. i was expecting UDMH to increase speed. ok then if it doesnt increase speed then thats all i needed to know. i'll go get warpspeed in that case! thanks.
