Hi all!
I am awaiting my new Treo 600 from Ebay (be here in a few days) and I am concerned about a tutorial to get all these games to run.
I have not found a step by step tutorial to show how a Treo 600 user can get all these COOL ASS GAMES working on the phone.
Maybe I need some apps, utilities, launchers, etc.. on my Treo before I try? I don't know.. I have 1gb SD card ready to load up with this cool stuff!
Anyone can help with some step-by-step on how to get Duke3d, Doom, Quake all working on Treo 600? Please respond or email me milan_jaram@hotmail.com
BTW You guys are awesome!!!!!!!

You need UDMH, then you need to check if the games run on low-res. It might work.

I started out on these forums as a Treo600 user...why you would spend money on one now is beyond me, but to each his own.
In order to get anything remotely playable on a 600 you'll need UDMH and Warpspeed, both available from PalmPowerups.com. Without UDMH nothing will run, period. Without Warpspeed nothing will be fast enough to be playable. Install both of those, set UDMH to max settings (make sure you have plenty of memory free...try to run as much as possible off of your SD card instead of copying to the phone), then find a setting for Warpspeed that gives a speed boost without crashing your phone.
Install LJP with the included installation instructions and it should work!
You should be able to get doom and heretic to work on your 600 too. Don't expect anything else to run, and remember you have a low-rez device so while NES and SNES games will run, you won't be able to read any of the text in RPG games or the like. Gameboy games will work at native resolution, although you probably won't be able to turn sound on.
Good luck and have fun with your new (old) Treo 600!
