Here's my problem. I am trying to speed up my palm 4.0 equipped Dana by alphasmart.
However most things I try like, Cruise Control, Freeboost, quickbits, provide no jump in speeding up my device. Other things destabilize my system [most overclocking utitlies] or others just slow my dana down to the point of which I can see the screen flicker.
can anyon help?

The Dana is using a slower processor to run that giant screen. I'd be surprised if you can speed it up much.
I have two AlphaSmart Dana's in the house (although not mine) and they are a great PDA, but they are meant for work, not play.

just to say something: 1) you wasted your money. sorry but anyone can see the dana is completely overpriced. half of its advantage over normal OS 4s is limited considering that you can buy a much more portable keyboard that would reduce its bulk by 75% 2) I got it free from a friend who no longer felt the need to clutter up his life just wanted to get that out. by the way, here the non working things I have done with my dana..... equipped it with a infrared chat program, video player (with sound!!), a gameboy emulator and I put my novels on it. I would say that it has some potential for play. No one knows how to speed it up? Ouch.

Definitely not wasted money as it is getting my son through high school. A laptop would have been broken or stolen by now.
It is being used very well for its intended purpose which is education. If you try to play games or run emulators on the Dana then you will be very unhappy with it.
