small update with fixes for non-zodiac devices, tested on T|E with udmh. btw it seems there's an issue between udmh/zdoomz which leads to memory not free after exit. So you might need to soft-reset. grab it at the usual place : yoyofr.fr.st/zdoomz

Wow, it works great on T5, sound ok but i didn't installed timidity music. Its not very easy to "rotate" the T5 as its landscape mode by default and there is no possibility to set it to "normal" mode. Nice work indeed yoyo the waits paid Works great on zire 71 also, the ministick is pretty cool to play with ;D

Tungsten T3, no hacks, music and fullscreen Works fine... but you can't start in landscape mode... so, like zquakez... configure your controls like you will use Landscape... An interesting tip: You cannot see the menu... so you never know what are you selecting... you must be like me... an older gamer, well no so older but grown up with the game to know the menu just for the sounds.... Great work Yoyo! ;D And sorry for my bad english grammar... english it's not my default language... I'm from Ecuador and here all the people talks spanish...

With my T|T when I select Launch, my palm makes a soft reset, ZDoomZ V1.0 works OK.

Yoyofr -
Launching doom or doom2 causes a reset of the Treo 650. This is either with the midi on or off. And yes, I am using udmh, version 2.4. I see there is a version 2.6, I will try that one.

Same here. Cannot get zDoom or Quake to work on Treo 650. Tried several variations along with resets. Any ideas??

How far does it go? Do you see any output on the screen? Which one is the last?

When you click the launch button to start the actual game play, it resets the device. Tried installing several different ways w/resets along the way.

What is the file date of the zdoomz.zdk? Or check the (?)-Button in the startup, does it mention MetaView at the end?

Then I'm lost. If I would have the device, I would put as much debug output as possible inside the code and try to find the place where it crashes. But unfortunately I don't have a Treo 650 (but wouldn't mind to buy one if it comes cheap with a mobile plan) that's why I can't do anything further. Maybe yoyo find a reason.

I have tested the version posted by metaview in my Tungsten T and I have the same problem, a soft reset just pressing LAUNCH... It seems to work OK on my Tungsten E...

I'm having the same problem on my TJ35.
Pressing Launch in ZDoom resets the device (ZQuake works fine though...).
Tried the new test version, no different.
Crash reports the message "Fatal Exception".
Cheers,
NP

Finally 1.2 works perfectly on T3 on whole 480x320 screen. No any hacks needed like udmh. Speed is awsome. I overclocked to 533mhz and game just flies. Thanks Yoyo

your T5 has only 4mb of Heap momory (rest if flash) . So no way you will be able to run doom w/o UDMH. T3 and TC both have 12mb heap and run doom smooth w/o any hacks.

HI ;D
I have a Sony Clié VZ90 (not NZ90) and want to run zDoomz in 480x320, but I only get 320x320 to work. I checked the "fullscreen" and forced the VG area to be hidden with Codediver. The menu of ZDoom is in hires+ now. the "?" is at the top-right edge of the screen. When I start a game, I will only get 320x320, not the full screen. Any ideas? The same problem belongs to zhexen, too. I dont know why, but zQuake runs in hires+. But the VZ90 is too slow for zquake.
Why are zdoom and zhexen running really smooth and zquake not. (the lowest res. is still not smooth)

The graphics in Quake are a lot more complex than Doom and Hexen, thus slower.
