Hey Everyone,
First off I want to say thank you to Yoyofr this is an AMAZING program. Please keep up the good work.
Now to my problems:
I was getting the error "Out of Memory" and then it would say "Could not Load ROM" (only when I would play SNES). "
I uninstalled LJP and reintstalled it and did everything normal (I think I did). Then I re-installed and now it says "Error while unzipping" then "1" then "PNO pointer is NULL" then "Error while loading PNO" then "259". This happens for all of the emulators.
I am running a Zire 72 with no hacks 15.6 MB internal free, and 82.7 MB free on SD card.
Any help would be great.
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards,
Dex

I am not comfortable with installing UMDB on my Zire 72. I am going to try and reinstall .8 and if that does not work I will go back to .7 since I got that to work.

dexpro, your issue is typically a wrong version issue. I have changed the format of the emulation modules & the internal file access stuff. Perhaps you did something wrong. Try to delete the app & then run FileZ to delete all files everything in the /PALM/Programs/LJP directory. Then do a reset & try again 0.8 version.

I have also a Zire 72 with free dynamic RAM of 11 MB. UDMH is not installed. With beta 7 of LJP I could not load Genesis games. Now genesis games work perfectly. But SNES games do not load anymore !!! I got the message : Out of memory. The weird thing is that SNES games were played correctly with the beta 7 and my configuration has not changed in the meantime. Any idea ?

Yes same here I could never get Genesis to work without UDMH and now they WORK!!!! BUT SNES does not work WITH UDMH enabled. If anyone has Zire 72 and has SNES let me know. This worked fine without UDMH enabled in b7. Another strange thing is that LPJ says I have 5 megs free when I really have almost 10 megs free. Any idea for that? Could be the problem if it really does think I only have that little. Anyone else using the new UDMH v2.2??? Thanks for a excelent emulator!! Vinnie Zire 72 with 10 megs free internal, 15 megs free on card Hacks: UDMH v2.2 (sometimes), Crossover Launcher: Launch 'Em

I tried this with UDMH v2.0 which was the version I had with beta 7 and SNES still does not work. I get the Out of memory error every rom I try.
Again with beta 7 I did not have to use UDMH at all for SNES.
Now I have Gens working and SNES not work. The dilemma ... which ones should I have working ... SNES or Gens

ljp shows how much free dynamic ram you have. That's totally different from free internal ram. Basically udmh takes your free internal ram and make your palm use it as dynamic ram (the one ljp needs) Please check other topics or use the search button, this has been discussedm any times.

Thanks ... I have not noticed that before so I am sorry.
The real problem is the SNES one where it does not seem to work with UDMH enabled or not. Yet Gens now works without UDMH and does not crash going back to the launcher.
Thanks!

Hi Yoyofr,
I deleted LJP and then I used my card reader to remove all of the files in /PALM/PROGRAMS/LJP. I did a soft reset and then I reinstalled LJP .8 and loaded the .zem files with my card reader and all of my ROMs. And I still get "Out of Memory" then "Could not load ROM".
Now I have the GB, NES and GENZ emulator working but not the SNES. I never had the GENZ working so I guess it is a trade off.
Thank you again for the great program.
Best Regards,
Dex

Vinniet99,
I have a Zire 72 with 15.6 MB of internal free space and 83.6 MB of free space on my 128 card. I do not have any hacks on my Zire. And LJP shows I have 4976 of Free RAM.
Hope this helps.
Best Regards,
Dex

How many times do I have to say this?
If you get an out of memory error, try using UDMH before doing anything else.
I know you might not want to risk your data, but knowing if UDMH makes it work is one step closer to solving the problem. Even if you don't want to use it always, just try once and tell how it goes.

YES YES I know, and have it installed. It seemed that for whatever reasion, I was enabling it but it was not staying enabled. The key was that LJP said that there was less then 5 megs for heap. It should of been much higher. It said that when I enabled UDMH or not. I disabled a bunch of hacks and now UDMH is working and so is SNES. BUT it would be nice if it was not needed. Gens now does not need it and in the last version neither did SNES. It feel it is a dangerous application. Thanks for your help!

If you try any screen mode besides the x1 you have to turn the Smoothing option on as well (at least that's what I've had to do.) Have fun playing this weekend.
