Does other Wads work for your in ZdoomZ?

Hi, Thanks again for such a nice app.
I've finished doom2.wad.

I'm trying to play other wads, like Eternal (30mb,32levels), and Plutonia Experiment (17mb), and it doesn't go as good as doom2.wad.

Eternal will reset the palm on first level (on particular space)
Same happens on Plutonia in 3rd level, I just can't pass some particular place.
Whether it's stuck, resets, or returns some error (something not found.)

Very strange, since same wads played nice on Pc.
Anyway, I wan to try and skip the levels. How do i do that in Zdoomz?
I know that in Doom2 (on pc) i need to enter "idclev##"
and it will changed to desired level ##.
Can i do same cheat with ZdoomZ?

If anybody using another wads, please tell which wads play good for your

Ps: my config: TT3 @ 533mhz, 10mb free heap, 30mb free ram.

I am using a T|E with UDMH. I currently have 4 doom wads. Doom1, Doom2, Plutonia and TNT. I have had some problems with TNT when I get a fatal error but it does not seem to happen on the time. I thought I had all the commercial wads. Where would I find Eternal.WAD (32 MB)?

If you have large enough mail - i can send you Eternal.
I don't remember where i got it , but it was a loooong time ago. I've also another 32 level wad, which seems to work fine.
What is TNT, is it good?

No, they still sell the games at the iD website.
(although you can grab the WADs by some... er... non-good links which we can't post here)
(but highlight the above line if you're still interested)

The Doom2 wad is supposed to work with ZDoomZ.

Hi I have used 4 wads under zdoom. (Doom1 & Doom2 and plutonia and Tnt wads which came in the same directory for Doom95) I have played the first 2 without any apparent difficulty. I ran into some fatal exceptions with TNT but it did not happen all the time so uncertain if it was the wad or the T|E. As for the the Eternal.WAD which JungleMike mentioned I don't think I could take it as a download but if you want to send it COD on a disc I would be interested.

Google is your friend for finding the doom wads if you want to do it the non-good way.

Hi y'all, folks.

I'm posting here just to make sure that someone definitely come to know that I'm in love with that great genius of Yoyo, since now I'm playng Doom 1, 2 Ultimate, FreeDoom, Tnt and Plutonia on my T3 with Alien, Western, Batman, Vendetta, Xtreme & Fallout patches with beautiful Timidity/Eawpats midi sound and loud sfx, fullscreeen hires at good speed thanks to PXA Clocker. I've found some 50 between Wads & TC's, and I bet I'll make some others to work properly like the ones I've mentioned above. What could you want more? Maybe just some hint on how to reach the exit in Western Wad Map 02! Got all the 3 keys, map completed (cheatin'! eheheh) but where is the stupid Safe? It's got to be alive, thanks to Yoyo! ;D

Hexen/Heretic
Duke Nukem 3d

Tc's and they all works!

Unfortunately, I couldn't manage to run Star Wars or Sonic Pwads.

Jumpin' off topic, I cleared map 02 in Western wad (by Falken 80), and was very funny, but i'm stuck with desolation in map 03. Got any advice?

well i am not sure,

I have downloaded other wad and keep getting errors, what is it I have to do I copy the files into the same place as the doom1 file and i see it in the launcher window:

launch and I get a message

ChecklWAD: lwad tag dethwish.WAD not present

any clues, there all the same apart from the doom1 file

About Tc's, I must sadly admit that I've found a few annoying bugs in two of my favourite mods:

Duke Gp32 by Falken80/Drumaster: some enemy aren't visible, they are not supposed to be ghosts, and at least Doom ghosts are visible like others, they have only transparency effects. In map 02 you find Imps that you can't see!

Western by Falken80: I've found at least four versions of this mod, based on the movie "Fistful of Dollars", there's only one that works decently, but it still hangs forcing a "fatal exception" reset randomly or in certain places (i.e. in map 01, near the start at Ok Corral, and always when you try to exit from the red door palace at the end of the street).

The're really great mods, hope to find a way to fix them. I suggest you to play the Western one, it has great atmosphere and sound, you'll find yourself in Tombstone! ;D

First of all, I apologize with Yoyo and Tinnus for have called their superb software "emulator", i didn't mean it, really....

I'm not sure if I just have to post it here, maybe it would be better to start a new thread but I think there are too much yet...

In short words, what you found to be the most funny/cute mods/wads for ZDoom? Here's my score board so far:

1. D2 Xtreme Gold (Priss' Bgc-like assault suit! ;D)
2. D2 West (if it where not for the odd system-crash bugs, it would be n°1! )
3. D2 Xtreme (cool sprites, new weapons, great music!)
4. HacX (pretty cool, gives you a Matrix/Terminator feeling!)
5. Alien (need I say more? Ah yes... Doom 1 only! )
6. Pinochet 3D (it's Wolfenstein in Chile, oh yes!)
7. Fallout (really nice, cool sprites!)
8. Doom 64 (huge)
9. Strain (how I get the new weapons???)
10. Biowar (it seems there are no new weapons...)

Now, if only both Star wars and Duke 3d would work flawlessly, they would add 200+ hours of fun!

Let me know what you got, maybe someone could make Batman's mod weapons to show up on Palm... anyway, it' fun to play in Gotham City!
